Global Mobility Expert & P&O Consultant
Xellia Pharmaceuticals
Make an impact where international mobility meets people
Are you experienced in global mobility and international P&O, and do you enjoy solving complex cross-border employment challenges while supporting people and the business?
At Xellia, we are looking for a Global Mobility Expert & P&O Consultant to ensure compliant, people-focused international mobility arrangements and provide practical P&O consultancy across the hire-to-retire employee lifecycle at our Copenhagen Site and headquarters.
This is an opportunity to combine specialist global mobility knowledge with broad, hands-on P&O support in an international organisation where your work makes a visible difference to employees and managers.
Working across borders — and close to the business
You will join People & Organisation (P&O), based in Copenhagen, reporting to the Director, Global Employee Relations and P&O Copenhagen.
Your everyday work combines international mobility cases, ongoing support for cross-border EU commuters and practical P&O consultancy across the employee lifecycle. You will work with employees, managers, Payroll, P&O colleagues and external specialists across countries, balancing accurate compliance with responsive, people-focused service.
Own it — global mobility and hire-to-retire P&O support
You will coordinate complex international employment arrangements while supporting managers and employees with practical P&O advice and consistent hire-to-retire processes at Copenhagen Site and HQ.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Global mobility: Own and coordinate international transfers, assignments, relocations, EU cross-border commuters and other cross-border employment arrangements, ensuring accurate and compliant case handling.
- Specialist advice: Be a trusted mobility advisor to managers, employees and P&O, coordinating immigration, work and residence permits, visas, international employment requirements, taxation and social security with external specialists.
- Compliance and risk: Coordinate A1 certificates, documentation and renewals, support compliant cross-border remote working arrangements, and identify and proactively manage immigration, employment, tax and social security risks.
- Cross-border payroll: Coordinate split payroll, tax adjustments, social security contributions and information exchange with Payroll and external providers; payroll processing remains with the relevant providers.
- Mobility case management and employee service: Manage case timelines, records, advisers and external providers, ensuring employees on international assignments and EU commuters receive timely, reliable ongoing support.
- Hire-to-retire P&O consultancy: Provide practical advice and operational support to managers and employees at Copenhagen Site and HQ throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring consistent P&O processes and responsive handling of day-to-day P&O matters.
- Organisational change and continuous improvement among other P&O tasks: Support organisational changes and help implement updated P&O processes, guidelines and new ways of working.
Do you have what it takes?
We expect you to bring:
- A relevant educational background in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
- Approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience in global/EU mobility, international P&O, immigration or a related specialist area.
- Solid knowledge of immigration, cross-border taxation, social security and international employment matters.
- Experience coordinating international payroll arrangements and external providers.
- Good understanding of Danish employment legislation, employee relations and P&O processes, including the ability to provide practical P&O advice.
- Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
You take accountability for your work, combine attention to detail with a practical mindset and enjoy finding solutions to complex challenges. You build trust across cultures and functions, communicate clearly and understand the importance of both compliance and the employee experience.
