Head of Commercial Products

Impact Fund Denmark

As Head of Commercial Products at Impact Fund Denmark, you will turn investment ideas and investor requirements into commercially viable funds and other investment products. You will build the financial models and fund structures that enable Impact Fund Denmark to attract additional private capital for investments in developing and emerging markets.

You will take responsibility for financial structuring and product development, combining hands-on modelling with a visible role in investor discussions. Working closely with the Head of Investor Relations, you will explain product economics, support fundraising and contribute technical expertise to the ongoing investor dialogue for existing funds.

The role is part of Legal, Compliance and Commercial (LCC), led by Frederik Bjørn, General Counsel & Chief Commercial Officer. LCC brings together Legal Corporate, Legal Transactions, Compliance (Non-Financial Risk), and Sales and Investor Relations and consists of around 15 colleagues across Copenhagen and IFDK’s international locations.

You will work in a highly collaborative environment, with close interaction across Investor Relations, Legal, Risk and the wider investment organisation. The team values openness, constructive challenge and strong professional collaboration. You will have considerable ownership of your area while drawing on specialist expertise from colleagues across LCC, Investment, Finance, Risk, Valuation and Strategy & Business Development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design and structure investment products, including tranches with different risk and return profiles, risk-sharing arrangements and guarantees.
  • Build and challenge financial models using cash-flow analysis, scenarios and simulations, including Monte Carlo methods, to assess outcomes for investors and IFDK.
  • Assess how funds and products work together, including risk allocation and the implications of different investment and guarantee structures.
  • Develop fee and pricing models that reflect the economics of each product and the resources required to manage it.
  • Develop investor and sales materials and present products alongside the Head of Investor Relations, explaining structures, risks and returns and answering product-specific questions in investor due diligence.
  • Contribute financial analysis to information memoranda and ongoing investor reporting, and participate in Limited Partner Advisory Committee (LPAC) meetings and other investor fora for existing funds.
  • Work with Investment, Finance, Legal, Risk and Valuation colleagues to translate investor and guarantee requirements into clear responsibilities and processes throughout fund and product lifecycles.

YOUR FIRST YEAR

  • A consistent approach to financial modelling and clear investor materials supports product design, fundraising and ongoing investor dialogue.
  • Structuring and pricing options for priority products have been assessed, with clear recommendations on risk allocation and economics.
  • Responsibilities and handovers for key investor and guarantee requirements are agreed with the relevant teams.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You bring substantial experience in financial structuring and investment products, with the commercial judgement and credibility to take ownership and engage directly with institutional and other private investors. You have:

  • A relevant master’s degree in finance, economics or a related discipline with a strong quantitative foundation.
  • Experience personally building financial models and developing or structuring investment products.
  • A strong understanding of risk, return, cash flows and how financial structures allocate outcomes between different investors.
  • Experience working with institutional investors, supporting institutional clients or working on the investment side of a pension company.
  • Experience presenting complex financial topics to investors or institutional clients, with the ability to turn analysis into clear recommendations and respond confidently to technical questions.
  • Strong written and spoken Danish and English.

You combine technical depth with commercial judgement, take ownership of detailed work and collaborate effectively across specialist functions. Experience with illiquid assets or private-market fund structures would be an advantage.

WHERE THE ROLE SITS

Based in Copenhagen, you will report directly to Frederik Bjørn, General Counsel & Chief Commercial Officer, and work closely with the Head of Investor Relations. You will have analytical support from Strategy & Business Development for product development and investor-related work.

WHY JOIN US

You will shape how IFDK combines institutional investor requirements, financial returns and impact. The role offers ownership of product development, direct exposure to investors and broad collaboration across IFDK, with the opportunity to see your work through from financial design to fundraising and ongoing investor reporting.
