Student assistant with an interest in journalism for Ingeniøren

Can you find the most interesting people in the European technology sector, and do you want to learn more about how technology is shaping the future?

We have a rare opening for a student assistant to the editors of Ingeniøren’s two English-language newsletters, The Resilient and The Sidechannel, which are part of a newsroom of more than 30 editorial employees.

As a student assistant, your tasks will include commissioning and editing opinion pieces, as well as writing shorter news stories about resilience and cybersecurity.

You’ll be an important part of Ingeniøren’s English-language team and can expect a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. It is also important that you are dependable and able to meet the tight deadlines the editors work to.

Requirements:

• You’re studying for a humanities degree, or a technical subject, and have an interest in journalism.
• You know, or want to learn, the basics of writing a news story.
• You want to be part of a team of student assistants and value the social side of a workplace.
• You’re comfortable working with fast-moving editors across Europe.

You’ll get:

• To be part of a team of six student assistants who support our 14 newsletter editors.
• A salary of DKK 150 per hour.
• 15 hours a week, with flexibility on when you work.

You don’t need to speak any Danish, but you must be fluent in English and write it flawlessly.

You’ll get a desk in the centre of Copenhagen at our office in Gammel Mønt 3A, where you’ll be part of a team of student workers and full-time journalists who write about technology and how it impacts our lives.
