Contura International has been named a Gazelle company two years in a row and has experienced significant growth over the past five years, increasing revenue fivefold and its number of employees tenfold.

As AI Lead, you will join Contura's IT & Projects organisation and report to the Head of IT.

In this newly established role, you will take ownership of the AI roadmap and use-case portfolio and help move AI initiatives from pilot to production.

Working across business and IT, you will drive adoption, build internal AI capability and ensure that initiatives create business value while meeting relevant quality and compliance requirements.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Own and drive Contura's AI roadmap, use-case portfolio and implementation plan.
• Translate business needs into qualified use cases, requirements and solution proposals.
• Take successful AI and digital solutions from pilot into controlled production.
• Build internal AI capability through training, workshops and an AI community of champions and key users.
• Coordinate external specialists and contribute to pragmatic AI governance together with IT, Quality and Regulatory Affairs.

Business-minded AI profile with strong implementation skills

We imagine that you bring:

• Experience taking AI or digital solutions from pilot to production and driving user adoption.
• Experience translating business needs into solution proposals, requirements and priorities.
• Practical understanding of data foundations, data quality and integrations.
• Experience with AI and data solutions, preferably within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to make AI understandable and relevant across the business.

You are pragmatic, curious and delivery-oriented and comfortable creating structure and direction in an area that is still developing. You work well across functions and combine a strategic perspective with practical execution and a clear focus on business outcomes.
