M&A Senior Manager, Corporate Development
KK Group
Are you ready to take the next step in your M&A career and play a key role in shaping the growth of an international company with ambitious plans?
We are looking for an M&A Senior Manager, Corporate Development, to join KK Group and help drive our M&A strategy and broaden strategic growth agenda. This is an opportunity to work hands-on across the full deal lifecycle, from identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities to transaction execution and post-acquisition integration.
You will take ownership of key transaction workstreams, work closely with senior stakeholders across the organization, and bring together financial analysis, commercial thinking and strategic insight to support important investment decisions.
The role offers significant responsibility, broad exposure to M&A and close collaboration with senior management, within an international group backed by A.P. Møller Holding, where M&A is an important lever for future growth.
The position is based in Copenhagen and requires presence in our Copenhagen office three days per week.
Your role
As an M&A Senior Manager in Corporate Development, your primary responsibility will be to support the development and execution of KK's M&A strategy, taking ownership of key analyses and transaction workstreams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform and review financial analysis, financial modelling and company valuations to support M&A and other strategic investment decisions.
- Take responsibility for key workstreams in M&A transactions, including due diligence, coordination of external advisors, transaction documentation and other deal-related activities.
- Identify, screen and assess potential acquisition targets, including strategic fit, financial performance, valuation and key investment considerations.
- Develop investment cases, including strategic rationale, financial returns, risks and value creation opportunities, and contribute to the preparation of investment recommendations.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify and assess potential acquisition targets, new markets and growth opportunities.
- Work closely with business divisions and relevant functions to assess commercial, financial and operational aspects of potential acquisitions.
- Support transaction structuring, negotiations and other activities throughout the transaction process.
- Work with business divisions and integration teams to identify and assess potential synergies and support post-acquisition integration planning.
- Contribute to broader corporate development and strategic initiatives across the Group.
Your profile
We expect you to have 4-6 years of relevant professional experience, preferably from investment banking, corporate M&A, private equity or Big 4 transaction services. Candidates with a background in strategy consulting and strong financial and transaction-related capabilities will also be considered.
In addition, we expect that you have:
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including extensive experience with financial modelling, valuation and financial statement analysis.
- Solid experience with M&A transactions, financial due diligence or other transaction-related activities, including responsibility for managing individual workstreams.
- Strong commercial understanding and the ability to combine financial analysis with strategic considerations and investment judgement.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to develop clear and well-structured investment cases and decision material.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- The ability to work independently, take ownership of complex tasks and challenge assumptions when relevant.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate financial and strategic conclusions to senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across functions, countries and organisational levels.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
We value intellectual curiosity, sound judgement and a strong sense of ownership. You should be comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change, and where you are expected to take initiative, challenge assumptions and drive your own workstreams forward.
Ready to take ownership of key M&A workstreams and help shape KK Group’s next phase of growth? We would love to hear from you.
