Student assistant interested in turning data and insights into actions

Tryg

Would you like to help strengthen climate adaptation across the Nordic region? Join Tryg’s Climate Excellence team as a student assistant and help turn data into insights that support better decisions.

About the job | A student job that creates value

You will join the newly established Climate Excellence team, part of Tryg’s Insurance Technical Group Function. The function drives technical excellence and data-driven decision-making across the Nordic business to support Tryg’s long-term competitiveness.

The goal of Climate Excellence is to help Tryg better understand and respond to climate risks, supporting smarter decisions for both the business and our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting, structuring, and visualizing data and information for analysis
  • Exploring trends across multiple data sources and translating findings into practical recommendations
  • Preparing presentations and decision-support material for colleagues and management
  • Supporting projects and initiatives related to climate adaptation and resilience

You will gain insight into how data, insurance, climate adaptation, and business strategy come together in practice while developing analytical and communication skills in a Nordic organization.

The role is based in Ballerup and involves collaboration with colleagues in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. We occasionally meet as a Nordic team in Bergen or Stockholm, approximately once a month. Participation is optional, and online attendance is always possible.

About you | Curious, collaborative, and interested in working with data

You are currently enrolled in a relevant higher education programme, such as business, economics, engineering, technology, mathematics, data science, climate studies, or a related field. Ideally, you have at least two years remaining in your studies.

You enjoy working with both quantitative and qualitative information, identifying patterns, and presenting insights in a clear and structured way. You are curious about developments in society and motivated by learning through varied tasks and collaborations.

The following skills will help you succeed in the role:

  • Experience using Excel to structure and analyze data
  • Experience using PowerPoint to communicate insights and recommendations
  • An interest in data analysis and tools such as Python
  • Strong written and spoken English skills

You do not need to meet every criterion to apply. We are primarily looking for someone with curiosity, motivation, and the willingness to learn. Danish language skills are an advantage but not a requirement.

The position is approximately 15 hours per week, and your working hours will be planned flexibly around your studies and exam periods.
