Role
As a System Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to leading the technical side of project execution, supporting strategy by ensuring project execution and fulfillment of customer milestones, thereby helping the Defense department meet financial targets. Your role will mainly revolve around:
- Technical lead of major defense projects
- Ensuring projects meet customer milestones and financial goals
- Collaborating closely with engineering teams, particularly Mechanical and Marine engineers
You will be involved with the systems from the tendering phase through to commissioning and will work as part of a team consisting of project managers, mechanical engineers, system engineers, and automation engineers. As the Technical Lead for projects, you will be responsible for developing cost-effective, state-of-the-art solutions based on customer specifications, working closely with the rest of the project team.
You will work hands-on with DESMI’s advanced technical solutions, covering engineering, design, and documentation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing the technical aspects of complex, customer-oriented projects, both internally and externally.
- Understanding technical specifications and translating them into practical solutions.
- Creating Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and selecting the appropriate components for each application.
- Preparing advanced technical documentation.
- Identifying, understanding, and applying relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- You will build a broad network of contacts both within the organisation and externally with customers and suppliers.
- You can expect a limited number of travel days per year up to 25 days.
As someone who will join our team, we are looking for a self-driven individual with a strong technical background in engineering, preferably Mechanical or Marine engineering. Ideally with more than five years of experience in systems or process engineering within an international, project- and customer-oriented environment. Experience in the maritime industry would be an advantage.

- Possess strong communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders and ensure milestone delivery
- You have the ability to manage and negotiate technical deliverables.
- You have experience in systems or process design within a technical environment.
- You have a natural passion for finding creative and optimal solutions.
- You work in a structured manner and can maintain an overview.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Danish and English are essential, along with good general IT skills.
- Y ou are a team player who are able to work independently and efficiently
