Senior Product Designer
Female Invest
Do you notice when a transition feels slightly off, and can’t rest until it’s right? We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with deep visual craft and a love for motion to shape the next generation of the Female Invest app.
Female Invest exists to close the financial gender gap. We are the world’s biggest financial literacy app, a subscription product combining evidence-based learning, expert guidance and technology to help our members start, manage and improve their finances and investments, whenever and wherever they need it.
Design is how that mission becomes real. We are hiring a Senior Product Designer to own the UI of our most important product surfaces: someone with deep visual craft, AI in their daily workflow and the judgment to know what deserves polish. You will collaborate closely with our other product designers and product people every day, and with engineers, content creators and brand designers, to bring ideas to life.
The role is app-first. Our product lives on iOS and Android, and that is where most of your work will land. Web is a welcome bonus, not the core of the job.
We are building the next generation of Female Invest: one place to track, manage and optimise your finances and investments. The app gives every member a personalised plan for improving their finances, whatever their starting point, and an AI financial advisory layer that guides them through every step (think Whoop or Oura, but for your money). Your job is to design how all of it looks, feels and moves.
- Lead UI design of our app from concept to launch, in partnership with product, engineering, marketing and the founders
- Design end-to-end flows that are simple, elegant and improve activation and retention
- Sweat the micro-interactions: how each moment looks, feels and behaves, so everyday use keeps people coming back
- Turn product strategy, customer insight and complex financial concepts into experiences that feel simple and easy to trust
- Prototype at high fidelity, using AI tools to explore more directions faster, so ideas get judged as experiences rather than static frames
- Grow the design system, raising the bar for consistency and craft across the whole app
- Present your decisions clearly, embrace feedback with curiosity and live our values: team spirit, extreme ownership and fast learning
Motion and micro-animations
We care more than most about how the app moves. If you get excited about the small stuff, the way a sheet settles, a spring tuned until it feels right, a transition you can interrupt halfway without anything breaking, you will fit right in here. We would rather ship no animation than a sloppy one. Experience with motion is a huge benefit in this role, and so is a genuine interest in getting great at it. If you have work or experiments that show this side of you, put them front and centre when you apply.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years building and shipping to users, with a strong emphasis on mobile-first consumer products. Shipped app work is a must, and your portfolio proves it.
- Sharp UI skills across the fundamentals: typography, colour, layout, spacing and iconography. Your work is considered, polished and shows genuine care for craft.
- Strong product thinking: you ask why before how, and you connect design decisions to outcomes
- AI as part of your daily workflow: you use tools like Claude, Figma Make, Cursor or similar to explore more directions, prototype faster and generate state variations
- Collaborative and clear in cross-functional teams, and generous with your thinking
- Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, and openness to new methods and technologies
- You treat inclusive design and accessibility as fundamentals, not afterthoughts
- You take ownership seriously: you follow through, communicate proactively and stay accountable
Exceptional candidates will have:
- Skills shaping motion and animation for user interfaces. This one counts double, see above.
- Web design experience, so your skills carries across to our web surfaces
- The desire to make decisions fast
- Know-how using AI and LLMs to create interesting ideas from scratch
- A deep understanding of brand, and a brand’s role in business
- A track record of career growth and a reputation as a top performer
None of these are required. If the portfolio shows the craft, we want to talk to you.
Compensation
This role comes with a competitive salary and stock options. Final salary will be determined by factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, skill set, and other job-related considerations.
Benefits and perks
- Comprehensive private health insurance, with the option to extend cover to your partner and kids
- 8% pension
- Enhanced paid parental leave, including full salary and pension including in cases of pregnancy loss
- 5 weeks of paid time off as standard, and open to discussing more
- Flexibility to work from home when it suits the work
- Frequent social gatherings and events: team spirit is one of our values, and we invest in a culture of close collaboration and friendship
Location
This role is Copenhagen-based, with flexibility to work from home. We have a strong preference for candidates in Copenhagen or willing to relocate: craft work thrives on fast, in-person feedback loops, and the office is this role’s centre of gravity. That said, exceptional candidates outside Denmark will be considered too.
Language: Our working language is English, so Danish isn’t required. We’re an international team, and you’ll do all your day-to-day work in English.
Apply through our application form and include your portfolio. It matters more than your CV: show shipped app work, and show motion as video or interactive prototypes rather than static frames.
We review applications on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply soon.
We strongly encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply. Our work is stronger with a variety of perspectives, and we are committed to building an inclusive, supportive place for you to do the best work of your career.
