This maternity cover is based in our skilled Nutrition Research Team in Nutrition & Health at Arla Innovation Centre in Aarhus N. You will work closely with colleagues across Arla and build a broad network across research, innovation, public affairs and other science teams.

About The Job
In this maternity cover, you will help set the scientific direction for selected nutrition research areas and translate research into opportunities for innovation, communication and stakeholder engagement. You will be responsible for the research areas Dairy Matrix and Healthy, Sustainable Diets, and you will help turn scientific knowledge into relevant business opportunities for Arla. You will work closely with Public Affairs and nutrition experts to strengthen Arla’s work on the role of dairy in sustainable, healthy diets, food security.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Keeping up to date with the latest science in your research areas.
- Developing, evaluating and maturing new research ideas that support the goals of the research areas.
- Preparing clear, high-quality project proposals for review in Arla’s research and portfolio governance forums.
- Managing ongoing research projects within your areas of responsibility.
- Providing scientific and strategic input to new project ideas.
- Identifying risks, resource needs and practical solutions to keep projects on track.
- Working across functions to ensure scientific insights are translated into relevant business opportunities.
You are a scientifically strong and curious person who enjoys turning complex nutrition science into clear recommendations and business-relevant opportunities. You think holistically, understand how science can support innovation and communication, and are comfortable collaborating with colleagues outside your own area of expertise.
You will help shape the direction of your research areas, so we are looking for someone who is proactive, structured and confident in sharing ideas and perspectives.
Further, we imagine that you
- Have an MSc and PhD in nutrition with research experience within Dairy Matrix and/or Sustainable Healthy Diets.
- Commercial experience a plus.
- Communicate fluently in English.
