Associate, Operations Specialist – Copenhagen

We are looking for a full-time employee with an interest in middle- and back-office functions to take on the role of an Operations Specialist within our Operations team in Copenhagen. The team currently consists of 15 employees and is responsible for: settlement of trades, reconciliation of cash and positions, cash management, recordkeeping and reporting, investment compliance and controlling.  

Job description

As our new colleague, you will primarily focus on post-trading processes within private debt, syndicated loans and fixed income assets. This includes day-to-day trade management and settlement, processing cash payments, controlling, and reconciliation of various data points. You will be working with various complex tasks and taking part in strategic initiatives.

Pro-activity, a can-do attitude, and very good communication skills are crucial for you to be successful in this position as we are an agile and fast-growing company. You must not be afraid to pick up a complicated task and ask questions when you face challenges. 

You will participate in delivering the following tasks:

• Day-to-day support in settlement of our investments
• Day-to-day trade and cash management
• Data reconciliation related to our investments
• Collateral management
• Assisting in implementing and performing day-to-day compliance checks
• Assisting in the Net Asset Value production
• Regulatory implementations
• Assisting and training new employees
• Ad-hoc projects

About you:

• You are a recent graduate and have a relevant education in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Have relevant operational experience from Asset Management, Financial Institutions or Banking
• Possess very good communication skills and high proficiency in English both verbally and in writing
• Have great financial skills and problem-solving mentality with particular attention to detail
• Have ability to independently manage a project
• Is a self-driven team player and a motivated self-starter
