Working at Faerch means joining a purpose-driven company focused on sustainability and innovation. We invest in your growth and offer a supportive, international environment where people thrive
Your Role
As a Payroll & HR Administrator, you will be operationally responsible for preparing, validating and processing payroll for hourly paid employees in Denmark. You will also support payroll administration for salaried employees and contribute to HR administration across the Danish employee lifecycle, working closely with People & Culture colleagues, Finance, managers, employees and external partners.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a structured and service-minded payroll professional who combines attention to detail with a practical understanding of Danish payroll. You take ownership of deadlines and controls, handle confidential information professionally and know when to resolve an issue independently or escalate a complex legal, collective agreement or payroll question.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, validate and process payroll for hourly paid employees in Denmark, and support payroll input, changes, controls and follow-up for salaried employees.
- Collect, validate and maintain payroll master data covering time registration, absence, holiday, pension, pay elements, allowances and employee benefits.
- Perform payroll controls, reconciliations and quality checks, documenting deviations and corrections before payroll approval.
- Apply relevant Danish legislation, Industriens Overenskomst and local agreements in day-to-day payroll processing, and support implementation of changed rates and rules.
- Maintain employee data and support onboarding, employment changes, leave administration, offboarding and other Danish HR processes in relevant systems.
- Relevant education in payroll, HR administration, office administration or a comparable field, or equivalent practical experience from payroll, HR Operations or finance administration.
- Practical knowledge of Danish payroll processes, particularly for hourly paid employees, including time registration, absence, holiday, pension and payroll controls.
- Knowledge of Industriens Overenskomst and experience applying local agreements, or the ability to translate such agreements accurately into payroll practice.
- Fluent Danish and good written and spoken English.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word. Experience with EPOS payroll, Worklinq/ProMark and Oracle HCM is an advantage.
- A structured, precise and deadline-focused approach, with strong attention to detail, data quality and confidentiality.
Within the first 6–12 months, you will have established a reliable overview of the Danish payroll cycles, controls, systems and key agreements. Success means accurate and timely payroll processing, high-quality employee and payroll data, clear follow-up on deviations and responsive support to employees and managers. Over time, you will also help strengthen procedures, checklists and ways of working across Danish HR Operations.
Meet the team
You will join the Danish People & Culture Payroll team, working closely with colleagues across HR Operations, Rewards, Finance and the wider P&C organization. The team values collaboration, professionalism and practical problem-solving, with a shared focus on reliable delivery and a positive employee experience.
Meet Your Manager
You will report to Mikkel Brogaard Pedersen, Senior Director, Rewards & HR Operations, who values accuracy, ownership, collaboration and clear communication. You will have room to manage your responsibilities independently, while receiving support on complex payroll, legal and agreement-related matters.
