Group CFO for SANOVO TECHNOLOGY GROUP
SANOVO TECHNOLOGY GROUP
Would you like to take on global responsibility for Finance and IT in an ambitious, market-leading international growth company headquartered in Odense, Denmark, with seven global production facilities and a number of sales and service companies across multiple continents?
Our current Group CFO plans to retire in 2027, and we are therefore seeking his successor, with a start date no later than January 1, 2027.
Your Role
As Group CFO in a global matrix organization, you will assume overall strategic responsibility for developing the Group’s global finance functions, including controlling, consolidation, reporting, cash management, financial governance, transfer pricing, taxation, risk management, and IT. These functions will be strategically developed and optimized through the application of AI-driven tools and technologies.
You will work closely and in a coordinated manner with the corporate functions of our parent company, THORNICO, covering Finance, IT, Cash Management, Banking, Insurance, ESG, Compliance, and related disciplines.
Reporting directly to the CEO of SANOVO TECHNOLOGY GROUP, you will become a member of the Executive Management Team and, in due course, be formally registered as an executive director when the current Group CEO retires. As Group CFO, you will serve as a key advisor and business partner to the Group CEO, Executive Management, owners, Board of Directors, and corporate staff functions. You will actively participate in Board meetings, Annual General Meetings, strategic planning sessions, and cross-functional meetings within THORNICO.
Based at our headquarters in Odense, you will independently lead, motivate, and develop the Group’s global finance organization. You will ensure robust financial management and reporting across the global organization, supporting the achievement of business objectives through transparency, governance, and financial insight in a complex international environment. At the same time, you will act as a trusted sparring partner to management teams both in Denmark and internationally.
Together with the Executive Management Team, you will help drive SANOVO’s continued growth and strengthen our position as the world’s leading technology company within our industry niche.
The global Finance and IT organization consists of approximately 45 employees worldwide. The local Finance Directors, Finance Managers, and Accounting Managers in each company report professionally and functionally to the Group CFO, while organizational responsibility remains with the respective Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Overall leadership of the Group’s global Finance and IT activities.
- Developing strategies and action plans for the Finance and IT functions.
- Ongoing consolidation and financial reporting to the Group CEO, Board of Directors, Executive Management, and relevant corporate functions within the parent company.
- Cash management, risk management, insurance, and banking relationships.
- Budget preparation, forecasting, follow-up, and investment management.
- Active participation in the financial oversight of the Group’s many global projects.
- Defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring business performance.
- Leading and developing the global finance organization, ensuring the necessary capability development and operational efficiency through the shared use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and AI-based tools.
- Responsibility for transfer pricing documentation, tax, duties, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Active involvement in cross-functional initiatives related to ESG reporting, compliance, quality management, IT projects, HR, and the ongoing implementation of AI solutions.
- Acting as a trusted and engaged business partner to the Board of Directors, shareholders, the Executive Management team, corporate functions, management teams across the global subsidiaries, and colleagues across THORNICO.
What We Expect from You
You hold a relevant academic degree such as an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, MSc in Economics, MBA, Graduate Diploma (HD/R), or an equivalent qualification.
You bring extensive experience from a larger international manufacturing and/or project-based business, preferably within the machinery or food processing industries, where you have held a comparable executive position or served as a strong second-in-command with leadership responsibilities.
We are looking for a commercially minded and ambitious team player with broad experience across all disciplines of international finance and financial management. The role requires a willingness to travel regularly throughout the year for Board meetings, business reviews, and other international activities.
More specifically, you bring:
- Significant international experience as a CFO, Finance Director, Finance Manager, International Controller, or Business Controller within a global organization.
- Strong expertise in international financial reporting, both external and internal, as well as international taxation, regulations, tariffs, VAT, and related matters.
- Solid understanding of operational finance within manufacturing and project-driven businesses.
- Experience leading and developing a global finance organization across multiple countries.
- Experience with standard costing, transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and Group structures.
- Strong digital, IT, AI, and data competencies, with a proven track record of leveraging technology for reporting, process optimization, automation, and business improvement.
- A motivating and inspirational leader with strong professional expertise and a willingness to lead from the front.
- Full professional proficiency in both Danish and English, with English as our corporate language.
As a professional, you are analytical, structured, trustworthy, and possess sound financial judgment. You embrace an open leadership style focused on employee development and well-being as the foundation for high performance.
You are motivated by creating transparency, driving continuous improvement, and delivering business results in an international environment. Building strong relationships across all organizational levels and functions comes naturally to you.

We offer an exciting executive opportunity in an international company characterized by a down-to-earth culture, strong professional standards, high employee loyalty, and excellent employee satisfaction.
