Are you a modern, senior creative strategy leader who can shape breakthrough thinking on a global scale?

As Global Head of Strategy and Planning for Our LEGO Agency (OLA), you will lead the creative strategy for our work, helping shape culturally relevant, effective and imagination-fuelled ideas that take our campaigns, content and experiences to the next level.


Core Responsibilities 


  • Thought leadership and marketing / creative effectiveness expert – industry profile and thought leader.   
  • Lead and deliver breakthrough creative and channel strategies to take our creative work and campaigns to the next level.
  • Drive strategic integration across campaigns and across OLA organisations – including Commerce and Social.  
  • Lead a global team of diverse creative strategy planners across brand and communications planning.  
  • Strategic Partner to the product and marketing leaders inside the LEGO Group.  
  • Play a role in Marketing Transformation and The LEGO Marketing Model – strategic partner and contributor.  
  • Attract and retain the best strategic planning creative talent. 
  • Exceptional senior stakeholder and communication skills – make the complex, simple.
  • Partner the OLA SVP and VP Creative on delivering the overall standard of work plus be a key member shaping the future of the overall agency.

The role of OLA Global Head of Creative Strategy and Planning is to be an inspiring and modern strategic planning leader capable of taking our work and brand to the next level in culture.  Your super-power is to make the complex, simple and be culturally obsessed.

It is a key partner to the SVP Head of OLA and VP Global Creative. It is also a key member of the OLA global leadership team overall.  

You will be a key influencer in the organisation, capable of playing your part in transforming our marketing model.  

It requires leading a team of diverse strategic thinkers to seamlessly blend magic and logic to craft strategies that ignite the imaginations of the next generation of builders.   

In this position you must embody the LEGO values whilst daring to disrupt the status quo, helping to create culturally defining ideas that are as exciting as the products we make.  

Do you have what it takes?

  • Relevant agency or brand experience at the global level and holding a Chief Strategy Officer level or similar position.
  • Global brand experience – brand side or agency side. Global experience is necessary and ideally on a brand that was serving a range of audiences including kids.
  • Thought leader and innovator. You are a proven and highly regarded senior industry thought leader in creative effectiveness and strategy for popular and global iconic brands. You are innovative in your approaches and can see the big picture plus dive into the details.  
  • Modern. You are a modern senior strategy planning leader who merges the worlds of brand, creative and channel effortlessly. You are super fluent in OESP including social and integrated marketing.  
  • Creative champion and excellence. You are passionate about the work and have a proven track record in creative excellence and effectiveness with award wins. You have meaningful and long-lasting relationships with your partner creative leaders.  
  • Influential story-teller. When you speak, people listen as you bring clarity and simplicity to the complex. Your natural leadership style and culturally connected perspective bring authority, and you can hold and move a room of the most senior stakeholders.  
  • Exceptional leadership skills and qualities, across borders and across strategy planning skill sets – brand, creative, OESP. You love to mentor, connect people and grow your team.   You are also a key member of the OLA Leadership Team so will help steer the overall agency agenda and future.  
  • Trusted partner.  You are able to connect and partner with our media agency, IP partners and internal departments.
