Som Head of Automation får du det overordnede ansvar for vores automationsafdeling bestående af mere end 10 højt specialiserede medarbejdere, herunder:

Research Engineers
Software Engineers
Electrical & Control System Engineers
Design Engineers

Du bliver den samlende kraft, der sikrer stærkt teknisk lederskab, koordinering af opgaver på tværs af projekter og udvikling af medarbejdere samt fagområder.

Teamet arbejder med både:

Komplette Everllence-leverancer
Integrerede systemer sammen med andre OEM-leverandører
Retrofit- og moderniseringsprojekter
Nye udviklingsprojekter og produktplatforme

Rollen er kendetegnet ved høj teknisk kompleksitet, stor variation og betydelig indflydelse på den teknologiske retning. Samtidig er den stærkt afhængig af evnen til at navigere i en bred samarbejdsflade, hvor du skal skabe sammenhæng og fremdrift på tværs af fagområder, forretningsenheder, produktplatforme og globale teams i hele Everllence.

Det tekniske område

Du vil arbejde med automation og kontrol af avancerede maritime fremdrivningssystemer, hvor samspillet mellem motor, propeller, gear og skibets overordnede automationssystem er afgørende.

Remote Control Systems
Fremdrivningskontrol og thrust-management

Hvem er du?

Vi forestiller os, at du har:

En teknisk uddannelse som ingeniør inden for automation, control systems, elektronik, mekatronik eller lignende
Erfaring med teknisk ledelse af specialister
Indgående forståelse for automation og kontrolsystemer
Erfaring fra maritime systemer, energisektoren eller procesindustrien
Forståelse for integration mellem software, PLC, HMI, motorstyring og mekaniske systemer
Evnen til at skabe struktur i komplekse tekniske miljøer

Are you ready to lead one of the most specialized automation environments within marine propulsion? Would you like to help shape the future of control and automation solutions for some of the world's most advanced propeller and propulsion systems?

At Everllence in Frederikshavn, we are looking for an engaged and technically strong Head of Automation who can unite, develop, and inspire our Automation organization within Propeller & Aft Ship Propulsion.

This is not just a leadership position. It is an opportunity to set the direction for technologies that power vessels around the globe, while developing people, products, and business opportunities.

You Will Play an Important Role

As Head of Automation, you will have overall responsibility for our Automation Department, consisting of more than 10 highly specialized employees, including:

Research Engineers
Software Engineers
Electrical & Control System Engineers
Design Engineers

You will be the driving force that ensures strong technical leadership, coordination across projects, and the continued development of both employees and professional disciplines.

The team works with:

Complete Everllence deliveries
Integrated systems in collaboration with other OEM suppliers
Retrofit and modernization projects
New development projects and product platforms

The role is characterized by high technical complexity, significant variety, and substantial influence on future technology direction. At the same time, success depends on your ability to navigate a broad stakeholder landscape, creating alignment and momentum across disciplines, business units, product platforms, and global teams throughout Everllence.

The Technical Area

You will work with automation and control of advanced marine propulsion systems, where the interaction between engines, propellers, gear systems, and the vessel's overall automation system is critical.

Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) systems
Remote Control Systems
Propulsion control and thrust management
Overridable Power Limitation (OPL)
Retrofit and upgrades of existing automation platforms
Engine Control Systems
Digital service and monitoring solutions
Cyber-secure automation platforms

Among the technologies and products the team works with are:

Alphatronic Remote Control System
Overridable Power Limitation (OPL) Alphatronic solutions for IMO and EEXI compliance
Everllence Alpha CPP systems and associated control platforms
SaCoS 5000 Engine Control System, focusing on reliability, digitalization, cybersecurity, and future automation platforms

Your Primary Responsibilities

Leadership and Development

Lead and develop the Automation Department and its competencies
Foster motivation, engagement, and professional pride
Recruit and develop the specialists of tomorrow
Contribute to departmental strategy and growth

Technical Leadership

Act as a sparring partner for technical specialists
Ensure high technical quality in solutions and products
Drive standardization and technological development
Contribute to the roadmap for future automation platforms

Project and Resource Coordination

Prioritize and coordinate resources across multiple projects
Ensure progress and quality in development activities
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Service, Retrofit, Sales, and Project Management
Support complex customer projects globally

Innovation and Product Development

Help develop the next generation of automation solutions
Strengthen integration between software, hardware, and mechanical systems
Drive innovation within digitalization, connectivity, and intelligent control systems
Identify new technological opportunities and business potential

Who Are You?

We imagine that you have:

A technical degree in Automation Engineering, Control Systems, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field
Experience leading highly specialized technical teams
Strong knowledge of automation and control systems
Experience from the marine industry, energy sector, or process industries
Understanding of integration between software, PLCs, HMIs, engine control systems, and mechanical systems
The ability to create structure in complex technical environments

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

Propulsion systems
Marine automation
Engine control systems
Remote control systems
Retrofit and modernization projects
Cross-functional development teams
