Your Responsibilities

• Serve as the Technical Authority for satellite projects, owning the overall technical solution and working closely with the Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, leading technical discussions, participating in project and design reviews, and ensuring clear alignment on requirements, interfaces, and technical decisions.
• Lead the design of satellite projects utilizing information about satellite subsystems and customer payloads, ensuring compliance with industry standards and mission objectives.
• Conduct system-level analyses, including mission analysis, performance, reliability, and risk assessments.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and manage system requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer needs.
• Assist the AIV department to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, verifying system functionality and performance through rigorous testing protocols.
• Analyze and validate test results, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
• Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and technical manuals.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Play an active role in further developing the Systems Engineering team and its ways of working, including processes, tools, methodologies, documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Mentoring new colleagues, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Proven experience of 6+ years in systems engineering for space-based systems, with a strong understanding of satellite subsystems and mission requirements.
• Knowledge of systems engineering tools and methodologies, including requirements management and system modeling.
• Strong skills in system requirement analysis, technical budgets analysis, definition of system architecture, and definition of communication protocols and interfaces.
• Knowledge of orbital mechanics and mission analysis principles.
• Familiarity with space industry standards and best practices (e.g., ECSS, MIL-STD) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python/Matlab is an advantage.
• Familiarity with mission analysis tools such as NASA GMAT and Orekit is an advantage.
• Familiarity with satellite constellation design is an advantage.
