Account Manager
We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join our European Sales Team where you will support revenue growth by managing customer accounts and driving sales within the organization.
The position is based in Denmark and you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of customers, with a focus on accounts in Denmark and across the European Market. Fluency in both Danish and English is essential.
This role requires a both technical and commercially strong professional with preferably an engineering background within Plastics or Materials Engineering, who can leverage knowledge of plastics materials, compounding, and processing technologies to deliver value-driven solutions to customers.
You will build strong, long-term customer relationships through consistent engagement, proactive communication, and close collaboration with internal teams. You will also be accountable for key commercial metrics, including sales volume, profitability, and timely customer payments. This is an international customer-facing role with regular travel in Denmark and across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage customers via in person visits, phone, email, and virtual meetings to maintain active relationships.
- Develop "high, wide and deep" relationships with customers
- Meet commercial KPIs, drive volume growth and profitability
- Build trust and rapport to drive long-term retention and satisfaction.
- Recommend solutions based on customer needs and feedback.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to follow up on leads and campaigns.
- Support account activities, capture visit reports in CRM, and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
- Identify sales opportunities through day-to-day interactions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance customer experience.
- Provide technical guidance and material recommendations based on customer application requirements.
- Support customers in material selection, processing optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
- Translate technical customer needs into internal development requests.
- Collaborate closely with global R&D, regional technical development, and customer service teams within the organization.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Plastics Engineering or a related discipline required, although strong relevant industry experience may compensate for a different educational background.
- 5+ years of experience in account management, Business Development or Technical Sales within a plastics/polymer compounding or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CRM tools and managing a high volume of accounts is preferred.
- Clear and professional communicator
- Strong relationship-builder with a customer-first mindset.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Strong written and spoken English and Danish skills.
