Calling on Crew Labour Relations Managers

At Maersk Tankers, we are experts in owning and operating tankers and gas carriers – through the energy transition. We are a global, evolving workplace where committed teams grow through opportunity, learning, and a shared pursuit for excellence.

Your opportunity to join the adventure

In Technical Management, you will join a team of talented and welcoming colleagues. You will be located in Maersk Tankers in Copenhagen and will report to the Head of Crewing. You will play a key role in shaping and maintaining the HR framework for our seafarers, ensuring that employment terms, collective bargaining agreements, employee relations, and HR processes are managed professionally, consistently, and in compliance with applicable requirements and internal policies. You will work closely with Crewing Managers, payroll, unions, manning agencies, shipping associations, flag state authorities, and other key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include

  • Maintain and develop seafarer employment contracts, templates, and related documentation.
  • Act as a key point of contact for unions and support collective bargaining negotiations and implementation of agreements.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, disciplinary cases, grievances, and employment-related questions.
  • Facilitate pay benchmarking activities, remuneration reviews, payroll-related contractual matters, and discretionary bonus processes.
  • Provide guidance on GDPR and data protection requirements within our Crewing system and processes.
  • Support organisational change initiatives and workforce adjustments affecting seafarers.
  • Maintain governance, reporting, and documentation related to contracts, agreements, employee relations cases, and HR processes.

  • Drive continuous improvement of crewing HR processes and provide support on strategic HR initiatives.

Occasional travel is required for vessel visits, cadet events, union meetings, officer seminars and other relevant activities.
