Are you our newest team member as a Spare Part Coordinator ready to specialize, deepen your expertise, and make an impact within a dynamic and supportive team?

To secure future growth according to our strategy, we are looking for an ambitious and detailed Spare Part Coordinator that can drive spare parts sales through multiple sales channels globally.

As our new Spare Part Coordinator, you will be a part of a great team in the expansion and development of the spare part sales with huge growth potential. You will be located at our Desmi Head office in Nørresundby, Denmark and together with an experienced teams locally and across Europe you will drive the global spare part sales to the next level. You'll report to Team Lead, Spare Parts, within the Sales Operations Europe organization.

As Spare Parts Coordinator you will take part of the responsibility for our spare parts and replacement pumps’ sales in Europe, directly with the ship owner, End Customer or through our agents and distributors.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Handling spare parts and pump inquiries from our customers
  • Configurating centrifugal pumps, gear pumps and third-party pumps
  • Preparation of quotes and orders for spares and pumps
  • Technical support and active cooperation with Sales Offices within the DESMI group
  • Customer assistance in obtaining appropriate products according to customer needs
  • Cooperating with internal DESMI support departments for servicing customers in the best possible way

A glimpse into the role

The position requires high communication skills in English and technical understanding. Overall, the position requires a service minded and solution-oriented personality, with skills and ability to work across borders and communicate with both sales and internal support teams in the company. Furthermore, you may have experience with in-direct sales through a network of sales representatives, agents, and distributors.

  • Experience with customer service and customer support
  • Experience preparing quotations or working in a technical sales support or spare parts environment
  • Ability to work in an international organization where personality and honesty are important
  • Familiarity with mechanical or hydraulic components — pumps, valves, or seals — at least to the level of reading and interpreting product specifications combined with Marine & Offshore or Industry experience.
  • Experience within pump technology will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Communication in English (orally and in writing)
  • Communication in Danish/Nordic language (orally and in writing)
  • Knowledge of any additional language such as German or French will be an asset.
  • Service minded and solution-oriented personality
  • You need to be adaptable, as tasks may arise that require rapid reprioritization. At the same time, you should be prepared to immerse yourself in more complex cases when needed.
