hummel
Are you a skilled e-commerce developer with a strong understanding of the Shopify platform, ready to take technical ownership as part of an ambitious digital transformation? And do you dream of taking ownership in a role and on a team with both responsibility and development opportunities?
Then you might be our new Full Stack E-commerce Developer at hummel!
A Quick Look at the Role
Location: hummel headquarters, Balticagade 20, Aarhus C
Team: Group IT
Working hours: Full-time
Application deadline: August 16, 2026
Join the Team!
As a Full Stack E-commerce Developer, you'll take on a central technical role with real ownership of hummel's e-commerce platform, as part of our Group IT department – a team with strong competencies within cloud, integration, and infrastructure.
We play on the team that has the most fun - and we always play offense! For us, it's all about taking initiative, supporting each other, and celebrating both the small and big wins. In IT, we are responsible for the hummel Group's e-commerce platforms – and we work closely with our integration and Azure developers, contributing the platform-specific technical insight they need. You'll also have the opportunity to work with modern e-commerce technology in a growing international brand
More About the Role and Your Responsibilities
As a Full Stack E-commerce Developer, you'll be responsible for configuring, customizing, and maintaining hummel's Shopify setup and ensuring it works optimally with the rest of hummel's system landscape, playing a key role in delivering impactful results.
- Development and customization in Shopify – primarily via Liquid and the Shopify ecosystem's standard tools; custom apps and the Shopify Admin API (REST/GraphQL) are an advantage. Headless/Hydrogen is not part of the current strategy
- Configuration, customization, and maintenance of Shopify apps, including Webshipper, Klaviyo, and Relewise
- Ensuring correct and complete data flow to the Google platforms – Merchant Center, Google Ads, and GA4, including tracking, tagging, feed management, and data quality
- Technical setup and maintenance of third-party platform integrations, including Trustpilot, ProfitMetrics, and GA4
- Implementing and adapting AI-driven features – product recommendations, search, personalization, and generative components, including integration with other AI platforms
- Troubleshooting and optimizing across platforms in terms of performance, data quality, and scalability
You are hummel's primary technical specialist on e-commerce platforms. You design and implement technical solutions independently based on business requirements, and you stay continuously up to date on releases and roadmaps from Shopify and related platforms, assessing how new opportunities can be implemented at hummel.
How to Make the Team
We're looking for someone who is passionate about their field and a true team player. You take responsibility, thrive in collaboration, and are curious about how we can continuously improve – together.
To succeed in the role, we expect that you:
- Have 3-5 years of experience with Shopify development – primarily Liquid and Shopify themes.
- Have hands-on experience configuring and customizing Shopify apps such as Webshipper, Klaviyo, and Relewise or similar
- Have knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript in a Shopify context; React or a similar framework is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Have experience with the developer side of the Google platforms in an e-commerce context – tracking, data layers, feed management, and related API integration
- Have hands-on experience implementing AI tools and LLM-based solutions in a commerce context
- Are able to independently assess technical solution choices and implement them within a broader system landscape
- Communicate fluently in Danish and English
We're not looking for someone who can do it all – we're looking for the right person with depth in the areas that matter most to us, and who is ready to learn the rest.

Regardless of your background, we make sure we support each other from day one.
