Student Assistant – Executive Search & AI Evaluation
Boardway
At Boardway, we're creating specialized AI and search technology for board and advisory recruitment. Finding the right board member requires much more than matching skills to a job description. Leadership experience, industry expertise, board composition, strategic fit, and long-term company needs all influence whether someone is the right match.
You'll help us capture this complexity by evaluating board candidates against predefined role requirements and documenting your reasoning. Your assessments will help us measure, understand, and continuously improve how our AI evaluates candidate fit.
As part of a small, ambitious startup, you'll work closely with our AI and Product team and gain first-hand experience with how modern AI products are developed, evaluated, and applied to executive search.
What You'll Do
- Review board candidate profiles against predefined role requirements
- Assess whether candidates meet specific hiring criteria
- Explain why a candidate is or isn't a good match, documenting your reasoning and interpretation of the criteria
- Produce consistent, high-quality evaluations that serve as the benchmark for evaluating our AI systems
- Help improve our evaluation methodology through discussions with the AI and Product team
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree (or taking a gap year)
- Some familiarity with recruitment, executive search, talent acquisition, or people assessment through studies, internships or student jobs
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to make nuanced judgments and clearly explain your reasoning
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Curious about AI and interested in how modern AI systems are evaluated and improved
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a small team
