Do you want to come on board?

As Senior Contract Manager in the IC5 project, you will be an important contributor to DSB’s transformation. The IC5 project focuses on introducing new electric trains with speeds up to 200 km/h that improve travel times, passenger capacity and the overall travel experience.

You will be part of Legal & Commercial Contract Management with approx. 45 employees in three teams. In our large and diverse department, we manage a wide range of complex contracts and provide contract management and legal advice on matters that impact the entire organization and many of our key stakeholders.

We are an international team with different nationalities and backgrounds. Therefore, most of our communication is in English. We emphasize a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and feedback.

Your Role

You will have a key role in managing DSB’s IC5 contract in close collaboration with six other contract managers.

Collaboration and stakeholder management will be central, as you work closely with project managers, technicians, and legal professionals to secure smooth project execution and strategic alignment.

Your main tasks

  • Represent DSB in supplier interactions, including commercial negotiations and strategic engagement with suppliers.
  • Support the team’s Financial Contract Manager through strategic sparring and contract reviews, ensuring alignment with legal and financial objectives.
  • Lead the strategic management of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), including system and documentation support, and enable the project team to use CM/CLM processes and tools effectively.
  • Hold overall responsibility for documentation milestones, ensuring milestone acceptance and delivery management in compliance with contract terms, while advising on change management, performance monitoring, and supplier claims.

What qualifications does the job require?

We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager who is used to working in complex projects. You are motivated by creating structure and progress, while keeping the overall perspective clear.

You thrive in a flexible working day and have a methodical approach to the tasks. You are good at building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and can balance commercial, technical and legal requirements in a professional manner. You have the capability to maintain a cross-functional perspective and ensure alignment between different areas of the project.

Moreover, you have experience with financial contract management and can navigate the complexities of financial and KPI related matters.

As the project moves towards the operational phase, with the Trainsets scheduled for delivery and commercial operation in 2027, proficiency in Danish will be an advantage. This phase will involve closer collaboration with DSB Operations, where Danish is the primary working language.

You may recognize yourself in the following

  • Relevant higher education and practical experience in contract management, including financial contract management.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents, including terms and conditions.
  • Experience with contracts in English as well as advanced written and oral English skills.
  • Capacity to handle responsibilities, follow a structured approach, and maintain steady progress.
