Over the next decade, the S-network within the greater Copenhagen area will be transformed into a driverless system with metro-like timetable. An important part of the transformation is the upgrade of the Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling system.
The CBTC team plays a central role in the Future S-Network, using advanced signalling technology to automate train operations and improve efficiency and reliability for driverless service on the S-bane in the greater Copenhagen area.
Your day-to-day work
You will join the CBTC project team of around 25 employees and consultants, based in DSB’s headquarters in Telegade, Høje Taastrup. Your focus will be on the upgrade of the signalling system as part of the S-Network’s future development towards driverless operation.
In this role, you will ensure that changes to the signalling system can be accepted and brought safely into operation through a structured validation and acceptance approach. This includes close collaboration with the project’s safety and assurance function, the programme’s verification and validation manager, the signalling supplier, and other relevant stakeholders.
Your primary tasks will include
- Manage and coordinate the acceptance of signalling system changes, including planning staged acceptance activities, defining acceptance tasks, and managing the collation of evidence required for operational approval.
- Maintain and continuously improve the project’s validation and acceptance processes, including requirements release, configuration management, defect management, verification, validation, and acceptance, while ensuring that DSB’s supporting toolset is properly configured.
- Ensure alignment between verification and validation evidence, safety processes, and approval requirements, and provide guidance, training, and support to those responsible for delivering documentation and evidence.
- Collaborate with Siemens and other key stakeholders, support audits of supplier requirements management and verification and validation processes and oversee the closure of system defects through their allocation to system releases.

We are looking for someone who has experience with, or interest in, some of the following
- Experience with validation and acceptance activities for complex and automated technical systems, with a clear focus on quality, structure, and compliance.
- Experience in reviewing, developing, and maintaining technical documentation, requirements, and process descriptions, using digital tools and structured documentation systems.
- Experience in supporting and improving validation, quality, and acceptance processes, and in creating structure and transparency in complex environments with many interdependent processes.
- Experience in collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders across disciplines, supported by a structured and systematic approach and strong communication and documentation skills.
