Junior Analyst, Modelling & Quantitative Analysis

Blue Power Partners

Blue Power Partners A/S

  • Denmark (Aalborg, or Copenhagen)

Blue Power Partners is a global consultancy and project development company dedicated to developing renewable energy. We aim to accelerate the green transition by shaping the renewable technologies of tomorrow.

Do you have a strong analytical mindset and a passion for working with data in the world of renewable energy? Then you might be the Junior Analyst we are looking for.

About The Role

You will join our Project & Energy System Optimizations team, which delivers world-class data analysis and modelling solutions. The team brings together an eclectic mix of talent — from specialists to PhDs — across mathematics, energy engineering, finance, wind modelling, electrical engineering, and data science.

As a Junior Analyst, you will be involved in a variety of projects and have the opportunity to develop your skills in practice. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting, cleaning, and transforming large datasets to provide insight into renewable energy problems.
  • Supporting energy systems integration modelling using linear and mixed-integer linear programming (LP/MILP).
  • Assisting in the evaluation and optimisation of project business cases.
  • Developing analytical tools and automating data wrangling tasks through clean, structured code.
  • Preparing reports and presentations that summarise key findings for internal stakeholders.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver analytical support.

In this role, we expect you to work 8-20 hours on average per week, possibly adding more hours if possible. It is essential that you take care of your studies, which means we are flexible in exam periods and when facing project deadlines.

About You

You are curious, analytical, and eager to learn. You enjoy working in an agile, fast-moving environment and bring a can-do attitude to everything you do. You are a team player who is happy to take direction and work collaboratively to get things done.

We expect you to bring the following experience and skills:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's programme in engineering, mathematics, data science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python; experience with other programming language is a plus.
  • Able to write clean, structured code and work with large datasets — including transforming, mapping, and aligning data for analysis.
  • Familiarity with linear programming (LP/MILP) and constraint optimisation — able to run predefined routines with guidance.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical techniques for validating data patterns, and experience with version control (e.g. Git).
  • Strong communicator, fluent in English — both written and verbal, comfortable engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Curious about the electricity and commodity market, with a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to follow established processes and take ownership of assigned tasks
