About the Role

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer – Mechanical, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and standardizing manufacturing processes and industrial equipment to support operational excellence across NOV's manufacturing operations.

Working closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams, you will identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, increase equipment reliability, enhance product quality, and reduce manufacturing costs through technical solutions and process improvements.

The role focuses on manufacturing process development, equipment engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead technical projects involving machinery, tooling, automation, and process optimization, ensuring robust, efficient, and standardized manufacturing solutions across the organization.

As a technical specialist, you will collaborate with local and global stakeholders to solve manufacturing challenges, implement best practices, support the industrialization of new products, and introduce new manufacturing technologies.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Improve, optimize, and standardize manufacturing processes across global production sites.
  • Analyze complex manufacturing challenges and develop robust engineering solutions to improve process performance and equipment reliability.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and support projects involving manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation, and process development.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to drive manufacturing excellence.
  • Analyze manufacturing and process data to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and standardize manufacturing procedures, technical documentation, and engineering specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and share best practices with engineers and manufacturing teams across global sites.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, HSE, and engineering standards throughout manufacturing projects and process improvements.
  • Support the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and the industrialization of new products across NOV manufacturing facilities.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Process Engineering, industrial machinery, or equipment development within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment.
  • Experience with manufacturing process optimization, machine design, and equipment improvements.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective engineering solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Danish is an advantage.
