Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic Senior Program Manager to support our Sr. Director of Environmental Sustainability in Procurement in shaping and executing long-term strategies for our Supplier Sustainability Program. You'll play a vital role in strategic planning, budget management, and executive reporting, ensuring our program's success and alignment with key priorities. You'll act as a strategic partner, facilitating cross-workstream collaboration and guiding project leads to achieve shared objectives.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Support



  • Provide support to Sr. Director of Environmental Sustainability to shape and execute the long-term strategy for the Supplier Sustainability Program, including future program direction, targets, and strategic priorities.
  • Support development of the annual strategic planning cycle, including annual development of program ambition, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Critical Operating Tasks (COTs), and roadmap, and coordinating submissions to meet key strategic planning milestones.
  • Support annual budget planning activities, including identifying future funding requirements and preparing budget submissions aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Prepare high-quality materials, insights, and executive reporting for senior leadership to communicate program progress, strategic decisions, risks, and recommendations.



Program Management



  • Own the development, maintenance, and governance of the Supplier Sustainability Program Plan, ensuring alignment across workstreams, milestones, dependencies, KPIs, and strategic objectives. Establish and manage this integrated Program Plan, providing regular progress updates, identifying risks and mitigation actions, and reporting status to senior leadership through established governance forums.
  • Manage program budgets throughout the financial year, providing regular forecasting, monitoring expenditure, and identifying risks, opportunities, or required budget adjustments.
  • Drive delivery of strategic supplier sustainability projects by aligning project plans, deliverables, and resource requirements to ensure successful execution.
  • Act thought partner to project leads across the Supplier Sustainability Program, providing program context, facilitating cross-workstream alignment, and supporting the team to navigate complexities, make informed decisions, and deliver against shared objectives.



Process & Governance



  • Lead the Enable workstream within Supplier Sustainability Program, providing direction for program management, governance, and system development activities while ensuring alignment.
  • Develop and continuously improve program governance, operating models, and ways of working to support effective delivery, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, environmental responsibility, and teams throughout the business to gain input on supplier sustainability initiatives and practices; assess relevance and initiative changes as needed.
  • Oversee the definition and implementation of system and process improvements, by supporting structured reviews, lessons learned, and process optimisation to strengthen program effectiveness and scalability.



Do You Have What It Takes



  • Minimum a handful of years' experience in project management, preferably within procurement, operations, or strategic consultancy for a global organization.
  • Experience in establishing and managing the implementation of new programs, processes and ways of working including underlining structures and systems.
  • Experience developing and delivering executive-level presentations, with ability to effectively lead meetings and workshops both internally and externally.
  • Passion for sustainability, with knowledge of environmental sustainability best practices with a focus on carbon reduction and supply base.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas and concepts into structured workplans, processes and presentations.
  • Ability to motivate and influence colleagues to deliver on ambitious objectives and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.



The position is based in Billund DK or London UK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
