At Satlab A/S, we design and build advanced radio systems that operate in one of the most challenging environments imaginable – Space! Our products are trusted by many of the world’s leading space companies and agencies, including NASA, ESA and Kongsberg NanoAvionics, among others.


We are looking for an experienced project manager with a relevant technical background to join our team in Aalborg, Denmark. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and guide development projects from first ideas to handover of the finished project to the end customer. You will join the development department which today consists of 11 highly skilled developers working within hardware, software, RF communication and space systems. We also expect you to contribute to our development process work which is evolving as well.


At Satlab A/S we focus on satellite radios for data transfer and payload radios used for various mission specific communication or monitoring purposes. Characteristics for our solutions are that they are highly embedded software defined radios with low mass and low power consumption, while at the same time being robust in the environment in which they are operated. We have high standards for product quality and reliability, which will be defining for the way you lead the development projects.

Our customers are satellite integrators across the globe, and together we bring cutting-edge technology from the lab into orbit. Satlab A/S has been part of the space industry for more than a decade, delivering over 1.000 units to customers worldwide and contributing to hundreds of space missions.


Your primary tasks will be:
  • Plan, execute and lead development projects according to internal processes
  • Lead the project teams and maintain task overview on a daily basis
  • Ensure documentation for internal and customer use is delivered
  • Participate in bring-up, test and qualification activities
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of internal processes

What we expect from you:
  • You have a relevant technical background, for example from a previous engineering role
  • Project management experience of more than 3 years
  • Experience with leading development projects with both a technical and people focus
  • Thrive in taking the lead on projects and knows how to move forward as a team
  • Knows the value of working according to a structured development process
  • Possess openness to learn new technologies
  • Have the ability to adapt to varying assignments in a small team
  • Writes and speaks English on a professional working proficiency level
Work place:
  • The place of work is on-site in Aalborg, Denmark. Occasional remote work is possible
