Plesner is seeking a Digital Forensics & Investigations Specialist to join our Insolvency & Restructuring team in Copenhagen.
This is a newly created position, offering a unique opportunity to become a key member of a new in-house Digital Forensics & Investigations function that will support the handling of complex insolvency, restructuring and investigations matters.
About the role
As a Digital Forensics & Investigations Specialist, you will play a central role in data preservation, digital evidence handling and the analysis of digital data in connection with insolvency, restructuring and investigations matters.
Working closely with the department's partners, lawyers and other specialists, you will help identify, preserve, organise and analyse digital information that supports case strategy and establishes key factual findings in complex matters.
The role combines technical expertise, analytical thinking and investigative methodology. You will work on some of Denmark's most complex and high-profile insolvency, restructuring and investigations matters.
Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

Preserving data from emails, cloud platforms, file systems and other digital sources

Handling, documenting and maintaining digital evidence
-
Collecting, organising and analysing large and complex datasets
-
Analysing communication patterns, transactions and other digital artefacts
-
Providing technical support in insolvency, restructuring and investigations matters
-
Preparing analyses, reports and documentation to support legal casework
-
Advising and supporting the department's lawyers on digital investigations
-
Contributing to the development and standardisation of internal processes and workflows relating to data management and digital forensics

Supporting the continued development of Plesner's in-house Digital Forensics & Investigations function

Providing expertise to other practice areas within Plesner on eDiscovery and data-related projects
About you
We expect you to have experience from one or more of the following areas:

A forensic, investigations or compliance team within an audit or professional services firm
-
Internal audit, fraud investigations or compliance functions
-
Digital forensics, eDiscovery or data analytics
-
We particularly value candidates who can:

Structure and organise large, complex datasets so they become useful and accessible for legal casework

Efficiently search, review and navigate large volumes of data to identify relevant material
-
Analyse data and identify patterns, relationships and key factual findings
-
Understand the commercial context and translate technical work into meaningful business and legal insights
In addition, we are looking for someone who:

You do not need to be a fully qualified Digital Forensics specialist from day one. Training in data preservation and digital evidence handling will be provided through our programme with Data Discovery Lab (DDL). Most importantly, you have experience with investigations, analysis or forensic work and are motivated to develop into a specialist in the field.

About our collaboration with Data Discovery Lab
Plesner collaborates with Data Discovery Lab (DDL), one of the leading Digital Forensics, Investigations and eDiscovery specialists in the Nordic region and the developer of the LEADS platform.
DDL will play an active role in the recruitment process and assist Plesner in assessing and qualifying candidates for the position. By submitting your application, you consent to your application materials being d with and processed by DDL for the purpose of evaluating your suitability for the role.
Once the successful candidate has been appointed, you will complete a structured onboarding, training and certification programme in collaboration with DDL. The programme combines theoretical learning, practical training and work on live cases, with the aim of developing the skills required to independently carry out data preservation, digital evidence handling and analytical work in connection with insolvency, restructuring and investigations matters.
As part of the programme, you will become certified as both a LEADS Super User and LEADS Super Admin, while gaining insight into the methodologies, processes and best practices applied in Digital Forensics and Investigations.
Following completion of the programme, you will become a key specialist resource within Plesner and will continue to have access to ongoing guidance and specialist support from DDL on complex matters.
