Finance should be more than just reporting. Build a new Group function

HEAD OF GROUP TREASURY & CREDIT

Build a Group function and strengthen Treasury, Credit & Working Capital across an international business.

At LEMAN, we believe Finance is about more than reporting numbers. It is about creating transparency, supporting better business decisions and building the financial foundation that enables sustainable growth.

As LEMAN continues its international growth journey, we are strengthening our Group Finance organisation by establishing a dedicated Group Treasury & Credit function. Treasury, Credit and Working Capital activities already exist across the business but are today managed locally without a unified Group framework.

Based at our headquarters in Greve, Denmark, you will report directly to the Group CFO and take ownership of Treasury, Credit and Working Capital across an international logistics company operating throughout Europe, the Nordics, the UK, Asia and the Americas.

This is a newly created Group role where you will define how Treasury, Credit and Working Capital should be governed across the business. By establishing common frameworks, policies and best practices, you will strengthen financial performance while supporting LEMAN's continued international growth.

What the position looks like:

  • Develop and implement LEMAN's Group Treasury strategy.
  • Build Group policies, governance and reporting for Treasury, Credit and Working Capital.
  • Own the Group's liquidity management, cash flow forecasting and funding activities.
  • Act as LEMAN's primary relationship owner towards banks and financial institutions.
  • Negotiate financing facilities and ensure covenant compliance.
  • Manage foreign exchange exposure and develop appropriate hedging strategies.
  • Develop and continuously improve the Group Credit Policy, including approval frameworks and governance.
  • Drive initiatives that improve Working Capital, DSO, cash conversion and overall credit performance across the business.
  • Monitor regional Treasury and Credit performance and ensure compliance with Group policies.
  • Support the Group CFO on funding related to acquisitions and strategic investments.
  • Deliver Treasury and Credit reporting and provide financial decision support to Executive Management.
  • Partner closely with Group Accounting, Group Controlling, the Shared Service Hub and regional Finance teams to strengthen collaboration and financial performance.

What we hope you'll bring:

  • A relevant Master's degree within Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Approximately 7–10 years of experience within Corporate Treasury, Credit Management or Working Capital.
  • Experience from an international Group or regional Finance organisation.
  • Strong Treasury expertise including liquidity management, funding, cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
  • Hands-on experience developing B2B credit policies, collections governance and receivables management.
  • Experience improving Working Capital, DSO and cash conversion across multiple markets.
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks, financial controls and Group policies.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange management and hedging strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions, cultures and organisational levels.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Experience from logistics, freight forwarding or another international, transaction-intensive B2B business is an advantage but not a requirement.

A little about the role:
This is not a greenfield Treasury operation. Cash management, banking relationships, credit decisions and Working Capital activities already exist across the Group. Your responsibility will be to professionalise these activities by establishing common governance, policies and performance standards while driving continuous improvement across all regions.

Working closely with the Group CFO, you will become LEMAN's primary relationship owner towards our banking partners, leading discussions around liquidity management, financing facilities and banking structures. You will also support funding activities related to acquisitions and other strategic investments while acting as a trusted sparring partner to senior stakeholders across the business.

Our Shared Service Hub is responsible for the day-to-day execution of cash management and credit processes. Rather than managing operational teams directly, you will define the Group framework, governance, KPIs and performance standards that ensure consistent execution across the organisation.
