Procurement Specialist
Unicon A/S
Do you combine strong procurement expertise with a commercial mindset and the ability to create measurable business value?
Unicon Danmark is looking for a Procurement Specialist to strengthen our Procurement team and drive strategic sourcing activities across our Danish operations. This national role supports the business across Denmark, with a primary base at Aalborg Portland in Aalborg. The position requires regular travel to Vejle and other Unicon locations across Denmark, typically 4–6 days per month, to ensure close collaboration with stakeholders.
In this position, you will take ownership of sourcing initiatives across indirect spend categories and contribute directly to cost optimisation, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Your Role
As Procurement Specialist, you will independently manage sourcing projects and end-to-end tender processes - from initial scoping and market analysis through supplier selection, negotiation, and contract award. You will develop sourcing strategies, tender documentation, evaluation models, and commercially robust agreements that balance value creation, performance, and risk management.
Working closely with operational and technical stakeholders across Unicon Danmark, you will act as a trusted procurement partner and support business priorities through structured procurement processes and effective supplier collaboration.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading sourcing and tender activities across assigned categories.
- Negotiating supplier agreements and ensuring contractual and commercial best practices - driving cost optimisation and identifying Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) opportunities.
- Managing procurement activities within categories such as maintenance, services, fleet, and CAPEX.
- Conducting market analysis, supplier scouting, benchmarking, and spend analysis.
- Supporting Group category strategies while ensuring strong local execution and compliance.
- Building strong relationships with plant managers, technical teams, and operational stakeholders across Denmark.
What You Bring
You bring 3 - 5 years of experience within strategic procurement, sourcing, category management, or a similar commercial function, including hands-on experience leading tender processes (RFI, RFQ, and RFP).
You have a strong track record in supplier negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management and understand how to create value across indirect spend categories. Combining analytical strength with a commercial mindset, you are able to translate business needs into structured sourcing outcomes and deliver measurable impact.
You are comfortable working across functions and building relationships with operational and technical stakeholders. As a person, you work independently, take initiative, and bring a structured approach to your work.
Professional proficiency in both Danish and English (written and spoken) is required.
