Ready to welcome you is a team of 6 Usability Specialists and 4 Technical Designers within our Product Development department
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across R&D, including Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Management, System Engineering, and Regulatory Affairs. Together, you will ensure that usability and human factors engineering remain an integral part of our innovation projects and product development processes
Plan and execute the usability engineering process
In short, it is the team’s responsibility to plan and execute the usability engineering process in new product development. This entails applying usability and human factors engineering principles throughout the product lifecycle and helping ensure that our products are safe, effective, and intuitive to use
Specifically, you will be:
  • Applying e.g. ISO/IEC 62366, FDA Human Factors Guidance, ANSI/AAMI HE75, ISO 14971.
  • Planning and conducting early and late formative and summative usability studies.
  • Facilitating and completing analyses, workshops, reports, and presentations.
  • Contributing to task analyses, cognitive walk-throughs, and other formative design and evaluation methods.
  • Providing empirically based recommendations grounded in user insights, usability standards, human factors engineering, and best practices.
  • Supporting documentation and compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
  • Take part in improvement initiatives and contribute to advancing usability engineering practices across the organisation.

You have experience within utilizing new technologies such as AI
We are looking for a new colleague who can shape how we work with technology to advance the field, providing better and faster user insights
You enjoy collaborative environments, solving complex challenges, and balancing user needs with project objectives. Your analytical skills combined with your ability to connect with users with intimate healthcare needs allow you to balance insights from users and tests with the needs of a project.
You utilize strong stakeholder management and communication skills to drive impact across the organization
Requirement:
  • Hold a master’s degree in biomedical engineering, human factors engineering, ergonomics, usability engineering, interaction design, design & innovation, engineering psychology, or a similar field.
  • Experience utilising technologies such as AI to improve efficiency and/or quality.
  • Experience with hands-on usability testing and research, including establishing research objectives, creating documentation, conducting studies, analysing results, and reporting findings.
  • Experience with early-stage product development or concepting.
