Lab Scientist for MSAT Downstream lab

We are looking for a Lab scientist who can provide scientific leadership to support the Downstream MSAT lab related to Tech transfers and clinical and/or commercial processes in the area of protein purification.

About the department

The role is anchored in the Purification team, which is part of the Drug Substance MSAT department. The DS MSAT department provides scientific leadership to support tech transfers of new processes and clinical and commercial processes. The DS MSAT team operates in areas of cell culture and protein purification operations, and act as leads on technology transfer teams and investigation teams.

The lab team consists of 11 people, 3 scientists, 7 Lab technicians and a manager.

The role

Your tasks will be:

• Responsible for resource planning and establishing and maintaining deadlines for projects in lab scale.
• Oversee Small Scale verification runs for future and ongoing campaigns
• Collaborate with SMEs for program specific projects and scientific review of study protocols and reports. prioritization of projects and tasks.
• Provide written reports summarizing investigations, studies and projects.
• Responsible for technical management of laboratory activities i.e. developing and defining laboratory and pilot procedures/methods, study protocols and reports in collaboration with the lab team.
• Support the team with regulatory knowledge and write SOP’s to support the work performed in the Downstream Lab
• Evaluation of lab and pilot lab capabilities and implementation of new methods, instruments/equipment.
• Support investigations through lab testing and small-scale data etc.

Qualifications

You have preferably 3-4 years’ experience, depending on educational background (Bachelor, Master or Ph.D.), in biopharmaceutical or related field. You have a background in protein purification as well as the capability of being able to absorb and utilize new knowledge quickly.

You naturally take leadership for projects and will ensure team understanding of tasks, timely completion and follow up.

Preferably you have experience with regulatory demands for a MSAT lab and SOP writing.

You have an analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills. You have a positive can-do attitude, and you are proactive with good organizational skills. You are self-motivating and capable of working with a high degree of independence. You should thrive in a very role where you handle many tasks simultaneously and where priorities often change daily.

You have excellent English verbal and written communication skills
