Hansen Toft

Hansen Toft is seeking a Regulatory Specialist on behalf of Faerch

Regulatory Specialist – Food Contact Materials (FCM)

Are you ready to shape the future of sustainable food packaging in a global company where circularity, innovation, and compliance go hand in hand?

Faerch is looking for a Regulatory Specialist to join its Group Product Development & Compliance department. You may already have experience in regulatory affairs, compliance or food contact materials — or you may be a newly graduated chemical engineer, materials engineer, or similar, with a keen interest in developing expertise in this field.

The role offers broad exposure across the organization and close collaboration with key stakeholders and strategic customers, while giving you the opportunity to strengthen Faerch’s regulatory foundation in the development of safe, compliant, and sustainable packaging solutions.

Go-to expert in regulatory compliance in early stage of product development

As a Regulatory Specialist, you will join a team of dedicated colleagues with strong professional expertise in product development and compliance. The department is responsible for developing, maintaining, implementing, and optimizing material recipes for extrusion, while always ensuring full compliance with applicable food safety regulations and legislation.

In this position, you will build and apply specialist knowledge of legislation governing food contact materials. You will be responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and implementing legal requirements, ensuring that Faerch’s products comply with applicable legislation in all markets.

The role involves extensive collaboration across the organization. You will contribute regulatory expertise early in the product development process and become a natural point of reference for colleagues and stakeholders seeking guidance on regulatory matters.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • ensuring that Faerch’s products comply with applicable Food Safety and FCM legislation across relevant markets
  • monitoring regulatory developments and translating complex requirements into clear, business-oriented actions
  • preparing and maintaining Documents of Compliance, compliance statements, procedures, and other regulatory documentation
  • coordinating migration testing, NIAS screenings, and other compliance activities in collaboration with external laboratories
  • advising internal stakeholders, sales teams, and strategic customers on regulatory matters, including participation in quarterly quality reviews where relevant

The position offers broad international exposure and the opportunity to shape processes, standards, and workflows within a growing area of responsibility in the department.

Who you are?

You bring strong professional interest in regulatory affairs, food contact materials, or compliance. It is an advantage if you have a solid understanding of the relevant legislation, preferably including EU regulations, but most importantly, you are committed to developing specialist knowledge in a complex and business-critical field.

You know how to work systematically with complex information and are motivated by applying regulatory requirements in a commercial and operational context. Experience from an international organization, project management, or collaboration across production sites would be an advantage, but it is not a prerequisite.

As a person, you are structured, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership in your work. You enjoy working with complex legislative material and can communicate it clearly to various stakeholders.

With a curious, proactive, and collaborative approach, you thrive in a role where you combine your professional knowledge with business influence. You build trust easily and are motivated by contributing to a team culture based on openness, professionalism, and knowledge sharing.
