Work Tasks
Your work will include gaining knowledge of, or developing expertise in, our own pump range – particularly our centrifugal pumps used by district heating and industrial customers. You will also work with sprinkler units and pressure boosting systems at various customer sites. Work on equipment from other manufacturers should also be expected.
You will perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance of the equipment, identify and resolve faults during maintenance, and carry out repairs either on-site or at the company’s facilities. Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults, followed by implementing appropriate solutions, will often take place in close collaboration with the Service Manager.
Customer service is an important part of the role. You will deliver excellent customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and provide technical support and guidance when needed.
Documentation is also a key responsibility. You will be expected to complete accurate documentation of all tasks performed, including installations, maintenance, and repairs, and report back to management regarding status updates and any challenges encountered.
DESMI currently uses an IT-based Field Service system, so good IT skills and language skills are considered an advantage.
About You
- We imagine that you have experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of technical products.
- Technical knowledge and skills relevant to our product range.
- You possess strong problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
- You are able to work independently and efficiently.
- Your background may include experience as an electrician, automotive mechanic, agricultural mechanic, electro-mechanic, marine engineer, or another relevant technical education or professional experience within the field.
It is necessary that you have a flexible approach to working hours and are prepared to perform service and repairs while systems are still in operation when required. We always strive to provide the best possible service to our customers, as fully functioning installations are essential to their operations. Much of our equipment forms part of critical infrastructure.
DESMI Denmark A/S’ service organization performs preventive maintenance, emergency troubleshooting, and repairs on all pump installations. Services are provided both on request and through established service agreements. As our new Service Technician, you will therefore work with many different types of pump applications. Currently, we primarily work with three product groups: submersible pump installations, dry-installed gear and centrifugal pumps, and sprinkler systems.
The department in Hvidovre currently consists of 12 service technicians and 4 office staff. In addition to the service department in Hvidovre, DESMI Denmark A/S also has service departments in Kolding and Nørresundby. Altogether, the service organization consists of 35 employees.
