We’re looking for someone to drive growth in district energy and industrial cooling, with a special focus on the strong growth in the datacenter segment. If you've spent time figuring out which pump or fluid-handling solution fits a specific industrial application, and you've done that in a commercial context, with pipeline targets attached, then you'll recognise this work immediately.

A glimpse into the role
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be a key contributor to optimizing DESMI’s centrifugal pump business within Industry and Utility. Your role mainly revolves around:

Business Development & Strategy

• Drive global business development in district energy, industrial cooling, and data center markets
• Identify, develop, and execute growth opportunities across regions
• Own and drive Business Opportunity Plans (BOPs) for key segments
• Contribute actively to the DESMI Product Board

Application & Market Expertise

• Translate market needs into application-driven solutions and value propositions
• Ensure strong alignment between DESMI’s product portfolio and customer applications
• Develop and deliver training, sales tools, and customer-facing materials
• Collaborate closely with Product Development & Innovation (PD&I) on new initiatives

Sales Enablement

• Support global sales teams with technical and commercial expertise
• Participate in key customer engagements and strategic projects
• Act as a trusted advisor in complex application discussions

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven leader to set the direction and strategy for developing DESMI’s Industry and Utility Business. In this role, you will lead initiatives that support our global Industry and Utility sales in achieving their targets, providing guidance, market insights, business development support, and collaboration across the organization to drive sustainable growth.

We also imagine that you:

• Have a technical background (degree or equivalent hands-on experience) - valued but not required
• Have experience in business development, application management, or technical sales
• Have a strong commercial mindset and ability to drive business growth
• Have experience working in a global matrix organization
• Have the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders
• Have experience within pumps or fluid handling - it is not a demand but is a strong advantage
• Have experience from data centers or industrial cooling is a plus
• Are willing to travel in the expected range of 30-50 days pr. year
