We are looking for a motivated Working Student to support our Health & Assurance department in developing engaging communication and awareness initiatives that make health & safety relevant, understandable, and impactful for employees both offshore and onshore. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in internal communications, employee engagement, health & safety culture, and organizational wellbeing within the renewable energy industry.
About the role
Support the planning, development and delivery of health & safety, wellbeing and mental health communication campaigns across the organisation
Create engaging, accessible content for intranet articles, newsletters, presentations, videos, podcasts and other digital channels
Translate complex health & safety topics into clear, audience-focused messages using plain language and practical examples
Contribute to employee engagement by helping run workshops, events and awareness activities; support surveys and feedback collection to inform improvements
Develop visual communication materials and tailored messaging for different employee groups (management, technical and office-based teams)
Maintain and update communication channels, content libraries and communication toolkits for leaders, advisors and ambassadors
Support the collection, analysis and reporting of communication and engagement metrics to measure effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities
Collaborate closely with Health & Safety, Communications and wider business stakeholders, and support Mental Health First Aider, Wellbeing Ambassador and other team initiatives
Job requirements andexperience
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing & Communication, Media Psychology, Organisational Development or a related field
Strong interest in employee engagement, internal communications, health & wellbeing and fostering a positive safety culture
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and channels
Creative mindset with experience or interest in developing engaging content across digital and multimedia formats
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint; experience with SharePoint, video editing or content creation tools is advantageous
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently while collaborating successfully within cross-functional teams
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a passion for creating positive employee experiences and workplace culture
