Core Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of category strategies and annual category plans.

  • Support supplier onboarding activities and coordinate implementation of new supplier partnerships.

  • Manage supplier relationships and act as the day-to-day commercial contact for assigned suppliers.

  • Support supplier performance management and drive resolution of commercial and operational issues.

  • Support contract development, implementation and ongoing management of supplier agreements in collaboration with Legal and Procurement stakeholders.

  • Support commercial negotiations and implementation of supplier agreements in collaboration with Legal and senior stakeholders.

  • Coordinate product set-up and launch activities across Licensing, Design, GTM and Operations teams.

  • Support forecasting, assortment planning and product lifecycle management activities.

  • Monitor category performance, sales trends and supplier KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Contribute to the establishment of category management processes, governance frameworks and ways of working for a growing business area.

  • Prepare category reviews, portfolio analyses and management decision materials.

The Licensing & Extended Line (LEL) organization works across the LEGO Group ecosystem to amplify the LEGO brand through licensed products, strategic partnerships and consumer experiences. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, LEL helps expand the reach and relevance of the LEGO brand through new commercial opportunities, product categories and channels.


As Category Manager, you will support the commercial management of licensed product categories through supplier onboarding, supplier management, contract implementation and category planning activities. Working across Procurement, Licensing, Design, GTM, Operations and Legal, you will help establish scalable ways of working and ensure suppliers, products and commercial agreements are successfully implemented and managed.


Please note: This is a position based in Billund, Denmark. Our flexible working model allows employees to work 2 days/week from home (3 days in the office). Relocation support is not offered for this role.


Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven experience within Category Management, Procurement, Buying or a similar commercial role.

  • Solid experience managing supplier relationships, commercial agreements and contract implementation.

  • Experience working with consumer products, branded merchandise or retail assortments.

  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and commercial negotiations.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships across multiple functions and stakeholders.

  • Self-driven and comfortable operating in an evolving environment with a high degree of ambiguity, helping establish structure, processes and ways of working where limited frameworks exist today.

  • Ability to drive initiatives independently from planning through execution while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience working with licensed or branded products.

  • Experience working in a global or matrix organization.

  • Experience with SAP, Power BI or similar business systems.

  • Experience within destination retail, attractions or theme park environments.
