You will join our Contracts & Procurement team in Esbjerg, working with business contract owners, end users, Finance, Health, Safety and Environment, Legal colleagues, suppliers, and global procurement teams to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

As the Contract Engineer, you will manage tendering and agreements, support supplier performance, and ensure accurate data and documentation across company systems.
Key Responsibilities
Tendering & Contracting
- Prepare, negotiate, and issue contracts in accordance with company rules, including Health, Safety and Environment rules, internal procedures, and applicable legislation
- Deliver tendering activities that support business needs and enable efficient procurement outcomes
- Present contract recommendations to relevant internal approval forums
- Collaborate with colleagues across business, contract ownership, Finance, Health, Safety and Environment, and Legal throughout the end-to-end sourcing process
- Help improve sourcing strategies by balancing scope, specifications, quality, and cost
- Use market insights and benchmarks to support strong sourcing decisions
- Work with global procurement colleagues to share best practices and create value across the organization
- Apply contract management best practices to manage risks related to materials and service delivery
- Support technical, Health, Safety and Environment, compliance, and commercial objectives
- Facilitate supplier performance meetings and agree relevant key performance indicators with suppliers
- Collaborate with internal teams to support optimum stock and inventory management for relevant categories
- Help improve ways of working in Contracts & Procurement through streamlined local and global processes
- Keep relevant documents updated and well organized in SAP or shared systems
- Ensure approvals and supporting documents are filed in line with applicable procedures

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Contract Engineer who can manage tenders, negotiations, and agreements in line with company policies, internal procedures, Health, Safety and Environment requirements, and applicable legislation. We welcome applications from people of all genders and backgrounds who bring relevant experience, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
To succeed in this role, it is important that you have:
- strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- experience negotiating legal terms and conditions with contractors
- a structured, detail-oriented approach to tenders, agreements, and documentation
- commercial awareness and the ability to challenge and optimize contracting strategies
Your background
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree within a relevant area such as business, law, engineering, procurement, or supply chain
- Experience with procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or contract-related activities
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
- Good understanding of commercial and contractual negotiations, contract administration, and compliance requirements
- Experience with SAP or similar contract and procurement systems is an advantage
- Are comfortable presenting to relevant approval forums (senior management)
- Can apply market intelligence, benchmarking, and cost consciousness to strengthen sourcing decisions
- Have a continuous improvement mindset and an interest in driving streamlined procurement processes
