Your New Role
As Associate Director, Technology Transfer (TT), you will lead a high-performing, senior team at the heart of FDBD’s growth. Your mission is to set direction, remove obstacles, and ensure flawless execution as we introduce new programs and customers into our large-scale manufacturing facilities.
You will own the strategy, planning and execution of the tech transfer projects from clients or internal sites into FDBDs large scale manufacturing facility ensuring robustness, compliance and on time delivery. You will be a visible leader with internal stakeholders and customers. You’ll shape and standardize best practices for TT, strengthen governance, and build a psychologically safe, high-trust environment where expert leads do their best work.
Main responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of experienced TT Leads and workstream leads; ensure role clarity, delivery discipline, and psychological safety.
- Build and maintain the TT portfolio overview, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and prioritization across programs.
- Drive effective governance: stage gates, risk/issue escalation, and milestone tracking with clear, timely communication.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment with relevant TT stakeholders- Manufacturing, MSAT/Process Development, QA/Regulatory, Supply Chain, QC - and customers.
- Oversee integrated project plans and support CMC activities, including inputs to regulatory filings and inspection readiness.
Your impact
You will oversee a portfolio of technology transfers that accelerates time-to-plant while safeguarding quality and compliance. Through proactive risk management and data-driven decision-making, you’ll elevate program outcomes and remove barriers for technical teams. Your leadership will harmonize TT best practices across sites, standardizing ways of working while enabling effective local execution. By delivering crisp reporting and predictable outcomes, you’ll strengthen confidence with customers and senior stakeholders.
You will define and track KPIs for TT performance and program/product health, translating insights into continuous improvement. Above all, you’ll build future-ready capabilities by hiring, mentoring, and developing a senior, high-impact team.
Skills & Knowledge we hope you possess
- Master’s degree in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering or a relevant scientific field (PhD is an advantage).
- 12+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in CMC process development and/or GMP manufacturing, including late-stage/commercial exposure.
- 10+ years of people leadership managing senior technical leaders and cross-functional program delivery.
- Proven success in technology transfer leadership, PPQ strategy and execution, and CPV/continued process validation.
- Deep understanding of biologics manufacturing and GMP; experience in Cell Culture and/or Protein Purification is an advantage.
- Strong program/portfolio management skills with stage-gate governance, risk management, and change control expertise.
- Comfortable engaging with customers and senior stakeholders; skilled at influencing and decision-making in complex environments.
- Working knowledge of QbD, statistics for process control/trending, and regulatory expectations for filings and inspections.

Your New Department & Team
TT is a core function within FDBD. You will lead a team of highly experienced TT Leads with deep backgrounds in development and large-scale DS manufacturing. The team provides scientific and program leadership for new product introductions as well as clinical, PPQ, and commercial processes.
We work cross-functionally and closely with our customers to manage TT progress, support CMC activities, and maintain compliance to filings. We continuously improve systems and practices across manufacturing and technical development and play a key role in shaping global best practices and PPQ strategies.
Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies is expanding globally with large-scale Cell Culture facilities in both Denmark and the US. The standards and strategies developed by the TT team in Hillerød have global impact and visibility.
