Chief Business Functional Specialist

Then you might be a great addition, to become our new Business & Functional specialist. You will join the Wallets & Enriching Cards squad, a team responsible for creating and maintaining capabilities related to Wallets, Card Production, Credit Card invoicing, and value-added services such as insurances in Danske Bank. The position is based in Denmark, in either Aarhus or Copenhagen.

About our tribe: The squad is based in our Cards & Financing Platform tribe, who’s mission is to strengthen Danske Bank and our customers across all markets by providing innovative, resilient and sustainable core capabilities for mortgages, lending, cards and branch services

You will

  • Drive business analysis tasks from idea to implementation within the scope of cards, wallets and cards value-adding services, and help move initiatives forward with structure, ownership, clear communication and persistence.
  • Work across business, technology, legal, risk, operations and market-facing stakeholders to clarify requirements, align decisions and support delivery.
  • Contribute to evolving our ways of working by exploring how AI can support analysis, delivery, decision-making and team productivity.
  • Be involved in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from planning and design to implementation and support.
  • Support the squad in handling incidents, operational issues and risk assessments related to customer-facing card and wallet capabilities.
  • Be responsible for tasks at hand and ensure progress by asking questions, challenging assumptions and following through on actions and decisions.
  • Support the Product owner by contributing to transparency and collaboration in the squad by voicing recommendations clearly and acting on them when needed.
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the squad and contribute to a strong, collaborative and improvement-oriented team environment.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience working as a business analyst and demonstrated experience in business analysis, functional leadership, process improvement or delivery of complex business-critical initiatives.
  • A structured and analytical approach, with the ability to navigate complexity and identify practical solutions.
  • Curios about applying AI in practical ways — both to improve your own work, how it can support better analysis and to help shape smarter ways of working across the team.
  • Experienced in managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and follow-through.
  • A proactive mindset, strong personal drive and the curiosity to challenge, learn and improve continuously.
  • You are a team player with a pragmatic mindset, balancing delivery speed with compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to make complex topics understandable and actionable.
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments and across business and technology teams.
  • Clear ownership behavior and the ability to drive tasks and decisions forward in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and you communicate clearly and effectively, and can build strong relationships in a distributed, international team working closely with colleagues across Denmark and India.
  • Experience from working within the financial sector and in particular the cards issuing, wallets and card payments space, will be an advantage, but not a requirement
