As Technical Application Owner, you will take technical ownership of key web- and e-commerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify, and Sitecore – not as a technical specialist, but as the one who creates structure, drives execution, and ensures progress across business, IT, and external partners. The role sits at the intersection of business and IT and plays a key part in moving from ad-hoc execution to a more mature, scalable, and well-governed setup. You will translate business needs into clear priorities and roadmaps, align stakeholders, and make sure work is scoped, planned, and delivered through structured and agile ways of working.


Success in this role means being comfortable creating clarity, driving decisions, and building structure in an environment that is still taking shape - turning complexity into clarity and progress.


Your main responsibilities

  • Drive ownership of web- and e-commerce applications (Magneto, Shopify, Sitecore) with clear governance, structure, and accountability
  • Translate business needs (e.g. pricing, campaigns, markets) into structured backlog, priorities, and roadmap
  • Coordinate across business, IT, and external vendors to ensure execution, quality, and follow-through
  • Establish and run agile ways of working (backlog, refinement, sprint planning, continuous improvement)
  • Manage vendors, budgets, and external development partners with clear accountability for deliveries and quality
  • Ensure transparent reporting, stakeholder alignment, and progress through steering groups and governance forums


What we hope you bring

  • Experience working in roles where you coordinate across business and IT (e-commerce, CMS, PIM, ERP, digital platforms, or similar)
  • A solid technical understanding of APIs, system architecture, data models, and integrations – enough to understand dependencies, challenge solutions, and collaborate effectively with specialists
  • A structured and proactive way of working – you create clarity where it doesn’t exist yet
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
  • Solid understanding of agile ways of working (backlog, sprints, prioritization)
  • Business understanding – you can translate needs into priorities and value
  • Comfort operating without being the technical expert, while still challenging and collaborating with specialists


Your Team, Our Culture and Values

The team structure is designed to foster independence while ensuring strong collaboration. As a Technical Application Owner, you will be part of a team of other Application Owners and Application Specialists, each responsible for their respective solutions. You will have access to architects, security specialists, integration experts, and ERP specialists within ABENA Data and external vendors as needed.
