Product Owner
LEGO
Are you as excited as we are about the potential of LEGO SMART Play?
Do you have the experience and infectious passion to drive teams and unite designers, engineers and business people behind one vision – to create products which push the boundaries of what LEGO sets can do?
With a playful spirit and history of building technology enabled products, you will join a franchise leadership team creating interactive, SMART Play experiences for our players to fall in love with. This is a unique chance to join LEGO Product Development and help expand the range of SMART Play models we release every year.
Core responsibilities
As Product Owner, you are responsible for integrating Interactive Play into our portfolio of products, converting exciting opportunities into products kids will play with for years. As the advocate for kids’ and parents’ needs, you will balance their play and development to create long-lasting value for both families and The LEGO Group. You will be experienced in navigating between the functional areas of product design, business, engineering and quality, supply chain and operations, in order to achieve outstanding commercial objectives with products millions of kids love.
Curious about how kids play, you will be extraordinary at identifying user needs, and excited to translate these needs into viable products. You know how to ensure the products your team builds are highly appealing and relevant for both kids and parents:
-
A champion of the kids at all times, you will guide the team to observe kids to create fun, surprising and meaningful play experiences which benefit kids as they learn through play.
-
A natural collaborator, you will quickly and deeply understand the existing Product lines, their play DNA, business and creative ambitions and how interactivity can play a transformative role in delivering these.
-
The holder of the Interactive Product Vision, you use it at every opportunity to guide the team, you know what great looks like and uphold the highest quality standards, making complex trade-off decisions and making priority trade-offs which put the player first in order to make that vision a reality.
-
You can motivate and support your team to create quick play prototypes to test and validate ideas as early as possible, you prefer progress over perfection. You are able to quickly adjust direction and are not afraid to fail, and you kill your own ideas when your experiments show that is the right course of action.
-
You integrate and trade-off – able to listen to a wide variety of specialist functions; you navigate between disciplines, helping them see the big picture and uniting them to one common cause, building confidence as the team pioneers into the unknown. Where necessary, you constructively confront conflict, turning creative tension into energy which drives Product Development forward with increased momentum.
-
You develop effectively using data – distil it to its essence, find patterns to forecast forwards and inspire development for the future, not the past.
-
You have a strong conceptual mind and you can challenge assumptions in a proactive and constructive manner. You dare to ask questions and voice the unpopular opinion if it is for the good of the end result. All while being respectful to your co-workers.
Play your part in our team succeeding
