Danske Bank plays an essential role in the financial infrastructure across the Nordic countries, focusing on delivering quality banking services to our customers. Within the Risk Integration & Assurance team, part of Danske Bank’s Group Risk Management organisation, we are integral to the bank’s compliance process. Our responsibilities include managing the Board of Director’s Credit Policy and overseeing day-to-day business procedures and various governance-related tasks.
Our team, consisting of approximately 20 professionals, undertakes diverse governance duties. In this role, you will collaborate closely with two team members on the Group Recovery Plan & Resolution. Additionally, you will engage with multiple departments within Danske Bank to ensure a comprehensive approach to the Group Recovery Plan & Resolution, as well as liaise with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.

About the role

In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining a strong risk culture at Danske Bank, with a focus on standard setting, coordination, follow-up and reporting. The role sits at the more complex end of the Analyst spectrum and requires you to handle cross-functional deliverables, navigate a broad stakeholder landscape, and apply sound judgement in a highly regulated environment.

Your tasks include:

  • Drive the development and maintenance of the Group Recovery Plan and support the bank’s resolution planning activities
  • Provide qualified challenge and guidance on input from other parts of the organisation
  • Conduct analytical work on key indicator dashboards and support management reporting and decision-making
  • Manage stakeholders across the organisation, including senior governance forums and dialogue with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority

Who are we looking for?

  • Formal training in business, finance, law, or a related field, or a banking background supplemented with further theoretical training
  • Several years of relevant experience within risk, regulatory affairs, governance, compliance, or a similar function in the financial sector
  • A solid understanding of risk and regulatory issues in the financial sector, and experience working with complex, cross-functional deliverables
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence engaging with senior colleagues across the organisation
  • Solid and efficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in a Scandinavian language is beneficial but not required
