Your new role As a Student Assistant in AI‑enabled Business Process Optimisation, you will support FPMSAT Packaging Engineering in improving how work flows through the organisation, with AI and digital tools as key enablers. Starting from the business reality, you will help identify where time is spent, where handovers create friction, and where processes can be simplified or strengthened
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Mapping and analysing business processes together with engineers and team leads to identify pain points, bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities.
- Identifying and prioritising AI, automation and digital use cases that can improve efficiency, quality, documentation and decision support.
- Developing and testing lightweight proof‑of‑concept solutions using approved Novo Nordisk AI and digital tools.
- Supporting process redesign and implementation, ensuring AI is embedded into workflows rather than added as a side activity.
- Contributing to adoption by creating simple documentation, playbooks and guidance that help colleagues use new solutions in practice.
You will work closely with engineers, team leads, IT, Quality and central AI and Digital functions, and report to the People Manager for the team
Your new department You will join FPMSAT Packaging Engineering, part of Novo Nordisk’s manufacturing and supply organisation. The department supports packaging engineering activities in a highly regulated environment, where quality, compliance and operational excellence are key. The role is based in Greater Copenhagen, Denmark, with presence in Bagsværd and Hillerød, and offers a unique opportunity to work close to both engineering practice and digital transformation initiatives
Your skills and qualifications You are currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s programme and have a strong interest in how AI and digital tools can improve business processes We expect that you:
- Are enrolled in a relevant study programme (e.g. engineering, computer science, data science, industrial engineering, business or similar) with at least 1.5 years of study remaining.
- Have a strong interest in business process improvement, operational excellence or AI‑enabled optimisation.
- Are curious and hands‑on with modern AI tools such as large language models, prompt‑based tools or workflow automation.
- Can translate business needs into practical, structured digital or AI‑enabled solutions.
- Communicate clearly in written and spoken English (Danish is an advantage, but not required).
Experience with process mapping, automation tools, applied generative AI or regulated environments is an advantage, but not a requirement

Salary and Benefits: This position is hourly paid. For this position, the hourly base rate is 209,27 DKK, based on an assessment of relevant factors such as experience, educational background, demonstrated competencies, and the specific skills required for the position. In addition to the hourly base rate, Student Assistants are entitled to a pension scheme (currently 10% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution)
