Your new role

As Senior Manager, Automation, you will lead and develop a team of IT and automation professionals, playing a pivotal role in both the project phase and future operations of a new manufacturing site. You will set direction, shape the organisation, and ensure successful delivery of automation systems aligned with Novo Nordisk standards.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of automation and IT specialists, building a strong and collaborative culture
  • Drive the delivery of compliant and robust automation solutions using your expertise within industrial automation and operational technology
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners across Novo Nordisk’s global network
  • Support the transition from project phase to operations, ensuring stability and performance
  • Act as a role model for the Novo Nordisk Way, promoting high standards and continuous improvement

Your new department

You will join the IT, Automation, and Robotics Department as part of a major expansion project in Kalundborg. The project is of high strategic importance and enjoys strong support from senior leadership, offering you a unique opportunity to influence the development of future manufacturing facilities.

Your Skills And Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and inspiring leader who thrives on developing people while driving technical excellence.

To Succeed In This Role, You Have

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field
  • +8 years of experience within industrial automation in projects and/or operations, preferably within a regulated industry
  • Solid leadership experience with a focus on developing and motivating technical teams
  • Knowledge of standards such as ISA-95, ISA-88 or similar, and an understanding of cGMP environments
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English, with the ability to collaborate across cultures and translate strategy into action

You are structured, solution-oriented, and motivated by taking ownership. You enjoy working collaboratively and are driven by achieving results together with your team and stakeholders.

What We Offer

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600 to 1,091,600 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
