Blade Engineering NCE is a core engineering function delivering technical expertise to support both sales and service operations across North and Central Europe. The team contributes to the success of Vestas’ service business by supporting both Onshore and Offshore wind segments with practical, field-oriented engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
Technical Support (70%)
- Conduct severity assessments of blade damages and define appropriate mitigation actions to ensure safe and reliable operation of the blades under service in Vestas
- Provide technical support to Service Sales teams and Service Contract Managers, including direct engagement with customers
- Perform on-site inspections of blade damages and deliver reports for both internal stakeholders and customers
- Support commercial teams by delivering technical assessments related to claims and settlement processes. Facilitate and contribute to dataroom sessions in connection with claims and EOW settlements
- Act as technical coordinator in customer dispute cases
- Collaborate with Technical Bid Management and Service Operations to support contract reviews, primarily service agreements
- Provide technical input and gather relevant data to support risk assessment of conditions
- Degree in Engineering
- Good technical understanding of blade technology and repair methods for resin-based materials (advantageous)
- Exposure to customer-facing roles involving technical, legal, or commercial discussions is desirable
- Experience supporting claims processes or End-of-Warranty (EOW) agreements is considered a plus
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, with a desire to develop and grow
- Skilled at simplifying complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights
- Well-organized with strong planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent documentation skills, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in reporting
