Business Controls and Product Management (BCPM) support Danske Bank’s three commercial business units; Personal Customers, Business Customers and Large Corporates & Institutions. The purpose of BCPM is to support the business in creating sustainable value through customer, product and risk lifecycle management.

Business Risk Transformation is an integral part of BCPM, leading and delivering complex change initiatives across the Bank in support of strategic, regulatory, and business transformation agendas.

About the role

We are looking for a senior leader to head the Business Risk Transformation team, overseeing complex initiatives spanning across the Nordic countries and the bank’s three commercial business units.

A key focus of the role is leading transformation and driving programme execution. You will lead a team of leaders and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across the bank.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee a portfolio of large-scale transformation programmes
• Oversee the full lifecycle of initiatives, from initiation and planning through to execution and closure, ensuring delivery against defined objectives and standards
• Steer the delivery of change initiatives by clarifying priorities, timelines, and outcomes
• Lead cross-functional steering committees and task forces, driving alignment across multiple stakeholders and business units
• Oversee continuous improvement of first line risk, product governance, risk governance and reporting processes
• Lead and develop the Business Risk Transformation unit, including a team of leaders
• Contribute to the broader leadership agenda as a member of the senior leadership team

What we are looking for

• Extensive experience in transformation, programme and project leadership
• Experience leading a transformation portfolio involving multiple teams and senior stakeholders
• A strong track record of delivering complex, cross-functional change within a financial institution or similarly regulated environment
• Significant leadership experience, including leading leaders, with the ability to build strong teams and drive execution through others
• Strategic mindset with sound judgement and the ability to challenge constructively at senior and executive level
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing and aligning senior stakeholders across the organization
• Familiarity with risk and compliance in the financial services industry, including first line risk management processes, governance, and regulatory frameworks, is an advantage
