At Novonesis, we are looking for a Project Assistant to support the execution of a broad portfolio of CAPEX projects across multiple sites in Denmark. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of our project organization and contribute to the successful delivery of strategic engineering and investment projects. You will join a cross-functional and collaborative environment where your ability to create structure, maintain momentum, and enable decision-making will be critical to delivering impactful projects.
The Role & Your Impact
As Project Assistant, you will play an integral role in ensuring structured, efficient, and well-coordinated day-to-day project execution across multiple CAPEX projects. Working closely with Project Managers and stakeholders across sites, you will support progress, quality, and alignment by driving planning, coordination, and follow-up activities. Your work will directly contribute to turning complex plans into effective execution.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and facilitating meetings (agendas, materials, minutes, action/decision logs)
- Proactively following up on agreements, deadlines, and deliverables across stakeholders
- Maintaining core project tools (schedules, risk logs, issue logs, decision logs, stakeholder lists, documentation structures)
- Coordinating inputs from internal specialists and external advisors/suppliers
- Preparing materials for steering committees and decision-making processes
- Supporting procurement and contract workflows alongside Project Managers
- Managing smaller purchase orders and assisting with cost follow-up (as agreed)
- Handling new and ad hoc tasks while maintaining structure and overview
- Supporting Project Managers across multiple sites and project portfolios

To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience in project coordination, PMO, project administration, engineering, or similar (advantageous but not required)
- Strong organizational and structuring skills
- Proven ability to drive tasks to completion and follow through on commitments
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across functions and disciplines
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Professional fluency in both English and Danish is required
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Certifications such as PRINCE2, IPMA, or similar are an advantage but not mandatory.

Ways of Working / Working Conditions
The primary work location will be defined based on the profile and residence of the selected candidate and can be at our Kalundborg site or one of our sites in the Greater Copenhagen area. The role supports projects across multiple Novonesis sites in Denmark, and regular travel between sites is therefore expected. Flexibility regarding mobility is an important part of the position. The work is primarily office-based and involves close collaboration across functions and disciplines. In addition, the role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously in a dynamic project environment.
