Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for a strongly commercially driven Sales & Business Development Manager to grow our Tank & Hold Cleaning business globally.
This role is for someone who thrives on winning new business, expanding customer relationships and driving profitable growth. You will own the commercial agenda for Tank & Hold Cleaning solutions, working closely with customers to understand their needs, structure value‑adding solutions and convert opportunities into long-term business.
While you will work with technical solutions, your primary responsibility is commercial success — building pipeline, closing deals and developing sustainable revenue.
What you will be doing:
- Drive profitable sales growth and building business across existing accounts and new customers
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, from opportunity identification to deal closure
- Contribute to structured, targeted and team-oriented sales activities
- Act as the commercial and technical expert for Tank & Hold Cleaning solutions within the sales organization
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships through a high frequency customer engagements and activities
- Identify and follow up on Newbuilding and Dry Dock opportunities
- Collaborate closely with Key Account Managers to support joint sales plans
- Ensure accurate CRM reporting and compliance with WSS sales governance
- Proven track record in sales or business development, with clear results
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to negotiate, influence and close deals
- Experience from maritime, shipping or industrial services is an advantage
- Ability to understand technical solutions well enough to sell value, not complexity
- Confident user of CRM systems and standard business tools
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English
- Highly commercial, ambitious and results‑driven
- Confident working independently with clear ownership of targets and priorities
- Structured, proactive and opportunity‑focused
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment
