Production and Quality Engineer

Things are moving fast here at Birdie, and when the pace is high, it is absolutely crucial that quality keeps up. This is where you come in!

We are looking for a Production and Quality Engineer to define, ensure, and take ownership of our product quality. You will contribute to our products all the way from the early development phase to mass production and after-sales.

You Primary Tasks Will Include

Defining and executing product validation during the development phase

You will be doing a LOT of testing to validate features, systems and products

Defining production test protocols and QA procedures for the entire product line and new products

You will be responsible for establishing the production tests and QA procedures to be carried out on the production line in collaboration with our manufacturing partners.

Compliance

Ensuring our products are compliant on the markets where we are present (you don’t need to know all standards yourself - we have external support)

RMA handling (Return Merchandise Authorization)

Troubleshooting returned devices and ensuring that defects are collected and organized so that data can be used for future improvements.
We have the best Customer Success team in the world, and you will help to offer technical support to them when needed, as well as occasionally handle customer inquiries directly.

Order handling and ensuring the quality the quality of each batch lives up to our standards

This involves follow-up and quality control of mass production

What We Need From You

We are looking for a proactive individual who is ready to take full ownership of their responsibilities. You must be structured and an effective communicator. You will manage a diverse range of quality-related tasks, spanning across firmware, hardware, mechanical, and software domains.

Equally important, we highly value our social life in the office and expect all team members to actively contribute to the office culture. You should be motivated by working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities and tasks often shift.

Experience: 1-2 years working with mass production and quality management in consumer electronics

Language: Fluent in Danish and English

TL;DR:

Structured and technical person.
PRODUCT person (you must love physical products!).
Happy to work at a small company, take broad ownership and take part in the office life (we have a pretty nice office in the middle of Copenhagen).

You should expect to travel to our manufacturing partners 1-3 times per year (Asia and Europe travel).

It Is a BIG Plus If You Have

Experience with wireless products (BLE, Thread, WiFi - smart home in general)
Experience with air quality sensor technology
