Concept Project Manager, Early Concept & Front-End Development

Bang & Olufsen

Do you thrive at the very beginning of product creation, where ideas take shape and set the direction for world-class products? Are you motivated by driving clarity in complex, early-stage innovation and turning bold concepts into viable solutions?

If you enjoy working at the intersection of technology, design, and business, leading cross-functional teams through ambiguity toward aligned, tangible outcomes - this role is for you!

A rare opportunity to shape Bang & Olufsen products from the very beginning!

As Concept Project Manager, you will join Bang & Olufsen’s Innovation & Systems Design team. You will play a central role in leading early concept development, ensuring that new product ideas are feasible, aligned, and ready to transition into successful development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation, refinement, and validation of new product concepts in close collaboration with design, engineering, and procurement
  • Drive concept development from idea approval through feasibility studies, prototyping, and business validation
  • Architect and execute feasibility assessments, including prototypes, mock-ups, and simulations, to validate direction
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment on scope, priorities, risks, and decision-making throughout early-stage projects
  • Safeguard product scope and proactively manage early-phase changes, dependencies, and risks
  • Ensure high-quality, timely concept deliverables and a structured handover to the Development Project Manager and execution team
  • Act as a cross-functional connector and trusted advisor, bringing clarity during ambiguous phases and supporting continuity post-handover

What You Bring

You are an experienced Project Manager who thrives in the early phases of product development, where structure must be created, and direction is not always given. You are comfortable working with uncertainty and can bring people together around a shared goal, ensuring both progress and alignment.

Moreover, you bring:

  • A proven track record working with front-end development frameworks or early-stage product development
  • A broad understanding of engineering, product development, and cross-functional collaboration (experience within the luxury industry is a plus but not required)
  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Solid planning, risk management, and decision-making capabilities in complex environments
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • A structured, proactive, and self-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership
  • The ability to build trust, navigate ambiguity, and resolve challenges early
  • A collaborative and approachable personality that enables strong cross-functional partnerships
